After a blowout loss and a disappointing second half to the season, I think it is only fair to let all the Kool-Aid drinkers (You know who you are, you are the guys who like to call posters "chicken little") have their own thread to discuss how Bill knows best, and it is the players job to execute....yada yada yada. Spin away folks!!!!!

I think too many people's expectations for this team got too high when we beat some teams at home. Mine included.

Once the injuries starting mounted our depth got exposed, and we are not good enough yet to compete with playoff caliber teams on the road.

The VAST majority of people busy slitting their own throats right now would probably been more than ok in training camp if you told them we would be 9-7 this year and at least beat the Eagles twice.

Which is about where we will wind up.

I seem to recall telling somebody 2 weeks ago he was goofy if he thought the OL play was going to improve.... it's official, you're goofy~!

Ah well, it was nice to hope that the offensive tackles would turn into players this year but it was all for naught. Tucker has one more year to figure it out,,, Petitti has 2,,,

I think that old bastid Gibbs pissed in their Kool-Aid.

Gibbs and Parcells only have dust left...but I guess that could still mix in with kool-aid.

Problem is Joe would have to video tape it and send it into the league....and parcells would have to get a former player of his to hold the video camera.

Ok, I'm a Kool-Aid drinker. I've never seen such classless whining loser fans as this board (or the other Cowboys boards). Geez, at least when the Skins got blown out by the Giants, the folks at Extremeskins still believed & supported the team.

So I'll point this out. The team is already at 8 wins. That means no losing season. Do you realize that's only the SECOND time in SIX seasons that's happened? (Guess when the other time was--oh yeah, under the same coach everyone is so happily bashing right now.) There's no reason the team can't end up 9-7 or even 10-6.

The defense got a lot of young players over the offseason who will contribute for a long time. They've gotten invaluable learning experience. They'll be even better next year, particularly with some seasoning. It'll be the OL that gets overhauled this offseason. And yes, probably some assistant coaches go bye-bye.

I find it hilarious that so many posters on this board were bashing Parcells on Saturday over an unsubstantiated rumor that he may go to Detroit. Now those same fans want him gone.

Just out of curiousity--Holmgren has been coaching in Seattle how long now? Oh yes, 6 years. It's taken him that long to build up a team that's a solid contender. Hmmm--but Parcells is a bum & a loser because he hasn't done it in three.

And Dungy has had Manning for how long? And all of a sudden they're looking vulnerable. Guess who's looking like a contender again--the Patriots WITH BP's players (like, ahem, Bruschi) back. I'm willing to bet they're in the AFC Championship game against the Colts. So Dungy must be a loser too, right? Since he didn't get them to the Super Bowl in 3 years?

Yes, this was a very disappointing loss. Hopefully, the players will learn from it. One other little item to think about--last week, the Chargers lose to Miami. At home. This week, they beat the Colts. In Indy. Anything can happen on any given Sunday.

Wow... Some people get awfully touchy when you dare to question their favorite coach...

Yes -- None of this is the head coach's fault. It's the owner... Or the bad draft scout from four years ago... Or the lazy players... Or the penalties... Or the injuries... Or the trainers... Or the punter... Or the FG kicker...

It goes from top to bottom...I really believe that.

Jerry started this mess years ago and it continues today.

Bill has his share of the blame, the players have their share as well.

I also think some of the darn dirty apes (heston)...I mean darn dirty fans should be to blame...since I feel like blaming them and it helps with the venting. :D

its not so much that this was a bad loss, its that we either have a bad loss or an ugly win. And its always the same problem, we self destruct and cant get out of our own way.

I said it before, i understand parcells had to adress the defense this year so i'll go along with that. but last year we got the run game going toward the end of the season and now things seem to have regressed, the OLine play is worse this year than last. We have Barber and Jones, we have campbell back and we have keyshawn and glenn, both were hurt at the end of last year. so the fact that we have those players this year, and our offense is worse really shows that the OLine is regressing.

This suprises me more than anything because of the type of ball that parcells likes to play, i would think we would have addressed this by now.

I just can't buy that. Three years ago is a long time in this day and age when you have all your draft picks and plenty of cap space, which we have had. And Jerry's always been willing to spend the money.

Jerry has stepped aside and let Bill build and run this team just as he likes. He's given Parcells everything he wants. Performances like yesterdays aren't Jerry's fault at all.

Theres a smart way to spen the money and Jerrys way. Throwing money at teams doesnt buy champions. Parcells is buying time to build this team after ten years of bad goods. Its just not fast enough for the fans.

A hall of fame coach, 32 million Dollars in FA money, 3yerars to get a handle on this team and where has it got us....10-6, 6-10 and now 8-6 looking at 9-7 or quit possibly 8-8...Wow I'm impressed, how much longer do we have to wait to see the this magical plan work... Campo could of gotten us to 8-8 if JJ would of let him spend 32 million.....
