Would it really matter???? if you have a coordinator that consistantly rushes 3 and is happy to get picked apart....I'm so glad I didn't buy into the hype. 13-3 was such a mirage. Until Marinelli and Doug Free are gone...we are gonna suck.

Our defense was abused early just as the Giants were abused in the second half by Rodgers. Marinelli and the defense had a nice second half. 3 TDs early first half, only one in the second half. The defense made enough snaps to allow our offense, which was terrible in the first 3 quarters (13 points) to make a great comeback.

Two mistakes on the 3rd and 20....let Rodgers get outside of the pocket on designed play they always run to buy time, and Jones gave up on the play and didn't get back to Cook.

On the other hand, Rodgers made a perfect catch and the TE acted like he was Deshaun Jackson. On top of that, Crosby made his last two FGs with barely a foot of room inside the upright. Sick.

You draft Lawrence and Gregory but neither can get on the field and stay on the field either due to injuries/suspensions/whatever. That lack of development in those players has hurt the DLine and that's why we have to rely on Irving, Jack Crawford, Benson Mayowa, etc. instead of having two 8-10 sack threats in Year 3 and Year 2 of their careers.

Now we have to start over and draft some new edge rushers. Irving and Maliek Collins are a good start to continue building upon

I don't dislike our players but really, we need some real talent on that unit. Just give me a LB(if you don't think Smith is the guy) and a Pass rusher and watch this team take it to another level.

Can't expect him to go toe to toe with the hottest QB and offense in the league with the talent he's been dealt.

We need to LOAD UP on pass rushers, just load up until you find 2 good ones. That's what I would do. The only thing I would do on offense is draft/free agent a FAST FAST FAST receiver. We just need speed man, speed. And defensively, we need guys that can get to the QB nearly every time.

HE is part of the reason w3 don't have them.

He thinks he can turn wine to water and honestly he can't. He had a season of George sylvie and that's it. Who else has truly been coached into a good pass rusher?

We lack talent. I think a pass rusher just has it. Not sure one develops into an elite pass rusher and Lawrence has never showed himself to be an elite pass rusher and Gregory can't get on the field to prove whether he can be. Crawford and McClain are backups. We need to get front line starts on the defensive line.

Really it comes down to the defensive end position needs more talent... Some additional talent in the secondary would hep too.

As quick as Rodgers was getting rid of the ball it wouldn't matter, the secondary was by far the weakest link most of the game in my opinion.
