Anyone watch the new netflix series...The Rain?

    Not bad. Danish I believe.

Premise is one day a storm starts passing over and if you get caught in the rain it will give you a virus that kills you.
So one scientist, that works for a company called Apollon and has something to do with the poison rain, takes his family to a bunker and leaves them.
The mom has something happen to her so the Young Daughter (teen) has to look after her little brother and spend about 5-6 years in the bunker.

When they come out it is a different world and they fall in with a group of other people to try and find the Father.

It's not bad. Has some holes in it where one time something kills people and another time it does not.

But it was ok for something to pass the time on the weekends.

    Only one season.
Not sure if they made anymore or if anymore seasons have been green lit yet.

Interesting idea. How many episodes are in the season?

So, they're not eating humans on the Santa Clarita Diet?

Punisher was the best I have seen in that genre on Netflix.

Black Sails has a new season on Hulu. Not as good as the previous seasons, but worth watching.

Shameless on Netflix and Showtime was good. Took me forever to get through 8 seasons, but I liked all the characters and it was pretty funny.

All Or Nothing on Amazon was obviously good.

Just started season 7 of Homeland on Showtime. I really liked all the previous seasons, so I've got high hopes for this one.

Watch and see. I saw bits and pieces of Season 2 as my wife watched it. It definitely had people eating.

Can anyone recommend The Dark to me? High rated German-language Netflix show like a much more serious Strangers Things. Gets excellent reviews. I’m thinking of watching it.

Heir Chicken, I can recommend The Dark to you but I've not seen it. Your request was not specific for someone that had actually seen it but just for a recommendation; therefore, I highly recommend it. In fact, it is must see for you. Could be the best thing I've never seen.

Alright, I’ll just assume it is actually the best show ever made.

I thought new episodes of Luke Cage should come out about three months after the second season of Jessica Jones. Thanks for the heads up! :yourock:

I don't know if this belongs here but it is related since it's HBO and a subscription service. Just watched the doc on Garry Shandling, The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling, and it was fascinating. He was always one of my favorites and I considered the Larry Sanders Show to be brilliant but there was really interesting information about his personal life that I had never seen before.

This gives new meaning to inside every comedian is a crying clown.

There is also a doc on Elvis Presley, The Searcher, and I am halfway through this but for anyone that was around at that time, this is must see. I gained a lot of respect for his actual musical sense rather than just a singer and performer and the right guy at the right time. I always considered luck to have a hand in it but it had nothing to do with it. The man was relentless in his pursuit of something no one had ever heard before.

Anyone else watching "Killing Eve" on BBC America? It stars Sandra Oh from Grey's Anatomy and plays a MI-5 agent that uncovers a psychopathic female assassin and becomes obsessed with tracking her down. The female assassin becomes aware that someone has discovered her and she becomes obsessed with the MI-5 agent. It's quite good, a little quirky at times, especially the female assassin. She doesn't come across evil or dangerous but kinda, charming, and seems to have a dark sense of humor, but it's not really humor, she's just speaking very bluntly and matter of fact.

Yeah the story wasn't all that great, but I love the effects. They were cutting edge at the time and you could tell it wasn't completely ready, but man his suit is awesome!

I am, literally, running out of options for viewing some images while I am at work. Practically every image is vewable in Microsoft Edge on my home laptop but my employer does not support that browser here. This is how I see this exact post n multiple browsers here at work:

    Cray cray stuff.

EDIT: LOL! The animated Spawn gif in the quote appeared in my iPhone Safari immediately after I posted my reply! Cray cray.
