In all seriousness, I wanna see how many Zoners are pushing for us to take Elliott number 4 overall. I'm all in on this. At first I was kinda on the fence because I know our defense has a lot of holes... but I realized how good we were in 2014 with that run game and that our defense doesn't need to be that great in order for us to win games. As long as the offense is dominant (which it certainly can be with everyone healthy + Elliott), we can keep the defense off the field and win games.

Elliott looks like a special, special player... possibly the next great RB. I'd rather us go get this kid instead of just trying to fill holes in other positions. And as far as I'm concerned there's no slam dunk, sure thing pick for the defense. People think Bosa could be a bust, Myles Jack and Jaylen Smith have huge injury red flags, Buckner looks good but not a can't miss prospect... the only one you could argue is Jalen Ramsey. I wouldn't hate if we ended up taking Ramsey but I really want Elliott so we don't have to worry about the RB position for the foreseeable future... and we'll probably never be in a position to draft a RB of his caliber again for a while. Go get him Jerry! Who agrees/disagrees? Try not to be disrespectful, this is just want I think we should do.

Im with you. I obviously wanted Goff, but Zeke behind this line will be unreal. I was on the Gurley bandwagon last year, but Brugler was saying Zeke edges Gurley out in pass protection, vision and cut-ability. Take him at 4, and lets get back to 2014 level dominance on offense.

Trade the pick. No need to take a TB at 4.

I'd have no problem with zeke being the pick. If the #1 goal is to win now he's the guy.

Probably the most READY, DAY 1 STARTER in the draft. I'm with you Leonides......⚔

He brings great pass protection, can catch the ball and finds the smallest holes to run through. He would be our future RB. McFadden and Morris won't be here for long.
That being said if we take him at 4 we better spend the rest of our picks on defense.

I like Zeke, Ramsey, Bosa in that order. We can't go wrong unless the front office gets cute. Jerrah I am looking at you.

Im almost 100 percent in agreement with you, but we need a WR as well. Then the rest can be defense for all i care lol

Management/coaches are asking "what are the odds that DE or DT taken much later in the draft will have long term success in the NFL?"
The answer is "very slim"

Then they ask, "what are the odds that a RB taken later will succeed."
And the answer is that "RBs taken later in the draft may have a higher success rate than any other position".

That is what the conversation is.

examples of MUCH later,,,,
Kenneth Dixon
Devonte Booker
CJ Prossie
many others

example of possibly one round later
Derrick Henry

But if it's Zeke at 4, so be it. He will help for sure.

I'm not excited with RB at four, but I won't be upset if we take Zeke. He's going to be special, IMO. I'd prefer a trade down and target Zeke, Lynch, or Rankins.
