With Crawford at LDE, where does DLAW go? Does Crawford move back at 3Tech or move to RDE?

think we go

RDE: DLawrence, BMayowa
3-T: MCollins,, DIrving
1-T: TMcClain, CThorton
LDE: TCrawford, JCrawford

I have a nightmare where DLaw is about to take the field for his first game back and Roger Goodell shows up with a dart gun and shoots him, carts him off.

So, who gets cut?

They could put La'el Collins on short-term IR if they don't want to cut anybody right away. If not, Rod Smith or Darius Jackson look like candidates. Dallas would bring either one back to the practice squad.

Is Rod PS eligible?

This should make a huge difference. Not that DLaw is Reggie White or anything. But he eliminates Mayowa completely from the equation - hopefully. Puts JCrawford in a reserve position where he's much more effective. And of course, Lawrence is our most talented DL. The quality of snaps across the board should be much higher with this major addition.

I hope to see anything from DLaw, we need anything from the pass rush this week.

I have very low expectations for D-Law. Has he been practicing with the team this whole time?

He has been working out at the star and has been able to attend all meetings with the team.

As for expectation I expect better pass rush this week than the 4 games the Cowboys have played. I don't think Lawrence will be at his best but given what I have seen thus far I think 80% of Lawrence would be better than what we are seeing now. Not even worried about sack totals just need to get pressure on Dalton and not let him stand in the pocket.

Agreed on the sacks, although they would be nice. At least make the QB uncomfortable for crying out loud. Every QB we've faced has been able to do multivariable calculus in the pocket

I think this is right - though they may rotate J Crawford in with D Law in his first game back -

I agree. I think you have to leave Crawford at the LDE spot. He seems to be the most productive there and frankly we don't have any options other than him (and Lawrence).

He's more productive there due to the lack of outside pass rush. It's really hard for one to exist without the other, unless you are JJ Watt, who can really beat you from any where. DWare's best seasons where we had guys who could consistently stop the QB from stepping up into the pocket. If we had 16 games of Demarcus Lawrence and if Randy Gregory was contributing the way we thought he would, then Crawford would pop a lot more at DT then he does now, where QBs just leave the pocket when ever he gets pressure.

I would also love to hear that Lane Johnson gets full 10 game suspension today. I expect it to be reduced to 4 or 0.
