Is it too early to talk about next HC? Or someone started this thread and merged with an existing threads?

My vote will be for Rex Ryan - who is strong willed and will probably stand up to Jerry and Romo

If he is not available, Lovie Smith or Dan Quinn?

Nothing will change. Also, who what big named coach would work for Jerry. The only type this job will attract is another yes man. Lovie ain't working for Jerry, neither is Rex.

2 more embarrassing losses will change that - Jerry has hired/convinced Bill Parcells to work for him

Stand up to Jerry??? He's already been eliminated from consideration.

I wish we could've got Andy Reid or Bruce Arians.

It was obvious last year Jason Garrett couldn't coach. Now we're a year behind and there isn't a whole lot of options that I see.

Next coach will be Jerry himself, he already thinks he can be a D coordinator and is probably dyeing to get in some nuthugger shorts and a ballcap, whistle on his neck, on the sideline calling the shots himself.

Rex Ryan is a puppet to the Jets leadership he woule be twice that to Jerry, forget about that option. I can live with Lovie Smith, his teams were always tough they just neded a better OC than they ever had, plus he only had a couple years with Cutler and took Rex friggen Grossman to a superbowl. My first choice would be David Shaw from Stanford demands respect, learned under Harbaugh, kept the team winning after Luck left. Runs a pro style offense and the team is tough. 2 and 3 would be Gruden or Holmgren. And when the new coach starts I hope they clean house. I can live with rebuilding at this point. I just can not live with an over priced under achieving bunch of mediocre scrubs like we have now.

Someone who is:

incharge of all football decisions (non-GM decisions)
will be allowed to hire his own co-ordinators/coaches, etc
organized
passionate about winning
work ethic
innovative

dont know specific names in detail but a couple of names that 'sound' interesting are david shaw (stanford) and bill obrian (Penn State)

having said this, i think it will most likely be mike zimmer and i dont like it becasue he will just be another yes man

Oh I would love Rex Ryan. He would fix the defense. I doubt he would ever come here after what Jerry did to his brother. Jets are idiots if they let him go.

Look at the last few wasted Garrett years. Both Harbaughs, Fisher, Shanahan, Arians, Reid...and we have Garrett. Awesome

Jones has his stadium. He has no incentive to hand the reigns over to someone like Parcells anymore. Remember? "I hired him to get this ******* stadium build."

A lot of people operate under the misconception that Jones can be embarrassed or frustrated into making a strong hire. That simply isn't possible. See Cowher's interview someone posted last night.

Jones is only interested in winning if he's running the show. Hiring strong coaches and front office personnel to do it for him has no appeal to him whatsoever. The Cowboys are his giant model train set and there's no chance he's giving it up. Our only hope is that Stephen Jones isn't as narcissistic as he appears to be, but that's a bet I certainly wouldn't take.

It's bad and it makes me sick to my stomach.

We wasted a lot of good players careers because of Jerry's decision to make Garrett our head coach.

Ryan has the same problem as JG, and that's getting his team to focus and play hard consistently.

Having that same problem, along with his loud mouth, in Dallas would make this team even more of a circus than it already is.

Lovie would prolly fix this defense too, what I do know is that this draft calls for DT, DE, LB, DE, DT, LB.

Just say NO to Lovie. You really will see this team never score more than 21 ppg and we're seeing now what his defense looks like. No aggressiveness and needs a stud front 4 and a Pro Bowl MLB to make it work.

I actually wouldn't mind Kubiak. At least he'd run the ball. Even WITH this terrible defense we should be 9-5.
