Wouldn't mind it but I can't see Rex Ryan coming here either.. Heck Cowboys would probably have a better chance getting Rob Ryan back if that was the case.

ABG...

At this point, I don't care if they dug up George Allan.

you say that now but reality is in 2 years you will be on this same very site talking about how Dallas needs another HC.

Since Jerry is not going to relinquish either his GM duties and/or influence in football operations, only a strong-willed coach with a confrontational personality will succeed in Dallas in both the regular season and post season.

The coach must have a proven track record of success - preferably in the professional ranks.

This team and organization is mentally weak and incompetent.

Rex Ryan's biggest problem in NYJ was not being able to find a QB. We have one here, and I know he would prioritize beefing up the front 7 on defense. I would love the hire.

Also - he rely's more on ground running game and it will be our strength with our OL. Dez/Romo/TW are a luxury he will cherrish to comeup with excellent gameplans. He will fix the defense and knows how to use press corners. He tooks the pathetick Jets to 2 AFC championship games - he is lame duck coach now and his team has quit

I don't see any possible way that this team can win the division or any possible way that Jerry Jones can justify keeping Garrett around to the fan base. So let's assume the inevitable happens. Who is on Jerry's short list? Who SHOULD be on Jerry's short list?

Lovie Smith?
Mike Holmgren?
Jon Gruden?
Dan Quinn?
Darrell Bevel?
David Shaw?
Bill O'Brien?
Art Briles?
Ken Whisenhunt?
Leslie Frazier? (Okay, so maybe that one's troll bait)

Gruden. He is still young enough to have the energy and he is also proven.

Head Coach - Jerry Jones
Defensive Coordinator - Stephen Jones
Offensive Coordinator - Charlotte Anderson
Special teams - Jerry Jones Jr. -Cause he is special.
Art Coordinator - Gene Jones

This is what should happen. this is how the organization is run anyway, they should just man up and take the headsets. this way the illusion will be over about what goes on here. Jerry and Stephen are running everything that happens anyway.

They don't care about the fans nor do they live in reality anyway. They might as well go all in.

Lets try to keep it in one thread for a bit.

May I suggest

Danny O'Shea and Coach Klein

...Still better coaches than Garrett (They make the right adjustments)

There's no way Garrett is back if they miss the playoffs

If they lose to the 3rd NFC east team In a row on a week 17 to miss the playoffs then process clearly isn't happening and so there must be change.

If no change happens then I wonder what will happen

With everything going on in Washington many might think I'm crazy but I would go with this in a heartbeat:

Mike Shanahan - HC (The Rat can coach and Romo is his prototype QB. Romo's here for good and Dez would get his name dialed constantly)
Gary Kubiak - OC (Shanny's old right hand and boy would this guy incorporate a running game)
Rod Marinelli - DC (Any HC running a 4-3 can entrust this guy to run the defense, Shanny's got enough skins)
Rich Bisaccia - ST (As long as Shanny's cool to keep him I would. He's turned this ST's around)

Another thing about Shanny is when he leaves Washington he's gonna treat them like he treated the Raiders. Outright ruthless. He also knows RG3 like a book and will be able to destroy him when we face him. He didn't want to mortgage the whole teams future for RG3 and even though this thing seems like a mess down there the guys got the nuts to shut the prince down regardless of what the owner thinks. That's another huge element we need. Shanny holds players accountable and rarely gets out coached.

There is absolutely no way that a hard-nosed, strong willed coach is going to come in here and be either effective or successful. Jerry Jones is going to undermine anyone that comes in here and tries to strong arm him. That essentially rules out any NFL coaches with winning records and experience. That leads me to believe it is going to have to be someone from the college ranks.

When you start dipping into college, a lot more options become available, including the one I believe has the best chance for success with the current hierarchy in Dallas.

That's why I believe this team needs to go hard and fast after Briles, Sumlin or Shaw. We need to get someone in the office who has proven track record and success on one side of the ball. College coaches, for the most part, are used to more meddling from the NCAA and AD's. They have to go about their business with big brother constantly looking over their shoulder.

So, all that said, my dream scenario would be...

Shaw as HC and OC with Marinelli promoted to DC. With this couple we get hard nosed, intelligent aggressive play on both sides of the ball. They are also both guys with a track record of taking players and coaching them up--something this team is going to need given the lack of talent and salary cap issues.
