Just my opinion, but here's how I see it playing out.

1. Sign Fabini. It makes too much sense. He'll play RT while the Cowboys take another season to evaluate their 3 young tackles Petitti, Colombo, and Rogers. Plus, if Flo gets hurt again, Fabini plays LT and one of the young guys plays RT.
2. Sign Sowell. I think Parcells likes Polite and he'll be on the roster, but Sowell can catch, block, and occasionally run the ball and gives you a solid veteran. They don't want the TE in the backfield as much as last year.
3. They'll make a run at Chris Hope but if he wants too much, I think it will be Corey Chavous. Free Safety will be solved through FA.
4. I think they will get Vinateri even if it's something like $2.5 mil per year. This will be the biggest and best FA signing.

Now I know most people want Bentley or some other big deal, but the above mentioned deals strengthen the team without breaking the bank. It also leaves the Cowboys with these needs to be filled in the draft in priority order:

OLB - the key to a successful 3-4 is the LB's. Parcells will grab Bobby Carpenter. 18 isn't too early because this guy is a football player and perfect LOLB for the 3-4.
Guard - I think it's Charles Spencer in the 2nd. A young guard that will watch LA for a year and replace him.
WR - they may take this in the second round if there is a guy they really like (Stovall maybe?). How about Demetrius Williams from Oregon. 6'1" with decent speed and he should be around in the 3rd.
they'll take a NT, CB and maybe another OT with the last 3 picks of the draft. NT because Glover won't be here(hopefully we can acquire a 3rd or 4th for him), CB because you can never have too many and our top 3 are going to be 28, 30, and 34 years old this season.

I like Spencer. We could get an outstanding interior lineman in round 2.

Your gunna need more then one guard. Infact I am thinking you need to find LA replacement. A starter at RT, RG. These could be Petteti and Rivera, could be FA or draftee. Certainly center is the biggest hole on the Oline. Bentley or Mangold would fill this nicely. theres 4 Olinmen needed. Can be done, Jones is a spender and not afraid of paying to win. But certainly the Oline is the first and biggest proirity.

I personally think this is really close as to how the free agency will end up shaking out. I also look for us to retain Fujita and Gurode. And I secretly wish that Washington cuts Arrlington, I would love to see him opposite Ware  but thats wishful thinking.

Spencer or Giles would be great 2nd round picks.
If Giles falls to us in the second the question has to be what happened to him. Right now hes probably a late first pick.

I think they're definitely going to stay with Rivera, Johnson, Peterman, Pettiti, Colombo, and will try to keep Gurode. I just can't see Larry Allen leaving Dallas. If anything, I see a new starting Center and Trackle in Dallas with Bentley and Fabini being the best choices.

Bentley, Fabini, Sowell, Chaveous/Hope, and Viniateri/Longwell would be huge haul. Mawae woud be a step down, but why not try for the elite Bentley? I only then worry about a loss of experience at LB with James as senior statesman should Singleton leave.

The dream break-the-bank solution would be: Bentley, Abraham, Fabini, Hope, Viniateri, and Sowell. Then we would be free to draft McNeill, Holmes, or Carpenter and shoot for a 1-3 year window with Bledsoe at QB. Of course Abraham himself may have cost the 1st round pick, but his experience and talent are worth it.

It's likely Bucs offensive tackle Kenyatta Walker... will test the free-agent waters.
-- St. Petersburg Times

is this a possibility? I'm not sure what kind of money he'll ask for, but he was highly touted coming out a few years back. He's still young, big and strong.
