I agree with you. On an NFL Network segment I saw him standing next to Deion and another former player who was a reciever and he looked positively small. Granted, ex-players gain weight. But even taking that into account, I jsut don't know how effective he will be as his game is not based on speed on extraordinary quicks. NFL corners are trending towards good size + exceptional quicks, and speed is pretty much a given.

He's got good hands, but unless he has that undefinable quality very few guys have of being able somehow create that separation with exceptional guile, I really don't see the kind of impact so many anticipate.

You're crazy! He's a tweener. Right between Boldin and Fitzgerald. I haven't seen anybody in college as good as him since Fitz, or Moss. You can't throw in there Calvin Johnson because the GT QB sucked!

He's the most physical WR I've seen in a long time. Put on the tape..he fights for the ball...he doesn't wait for it to come to him. He's also the best blocking receiver I've ever seen. He will put corners and safeties on the ground. He may not look like much...as far as TO's guns, etc...but he has a wide base like Boldin and broad shoulders.

IMO he will be a star the very first game he plays in....he's that good. When he was at Tech and had to hold out his true freshman year due to the transcript foul up at Carter, he was killing everybody in practice..the seniors couldn't handle him. Nobody could.

It makes me laugh when people question his long speed as well. He's fast enough...he ran away from everybody in college, or ran them over. He's also a warrior...he hurt that foot that he just had surgery on returning a kickoff against A&M. He played 6-7 more games with that same injury.

I honestly can't wait to see him play in the pro's. Players like him don't come around that often. You saw what Fitz did last year. It's a pleasure to be a fan of greatness....even if it only happens every now and again.

I'll go with one from each position:

QB- Josh Freeman...plays like a 4th or 5th rd pick, will be vastly overdrafted

RB- Chris Wells...good college player, but one dimensional IMO and doesnt have the moves, foot quickess or hands a receiver to be a probowler

WR- Michael Crabtree...stats over inflated due to system...has never run alot of NFL routes...might be an ok player but never a superstar

TE- Cornelius Ingram...spread offense skill players almost never work out in the NFL

OT- Phil Loadholt...has the makings of a turnstile in the NFL at T IMO...too slow afoot...will get abused by speed IMO

OG-Louis Vasquez...playing in a nintendo offense isnt going to make his transition easy

C-Max Unger..."jack of all trades master of none" I think of when I look at him...versatile guy who probably will play C in the NFL, but may get mauled by physical DT's

DT- BJ Raji...already some red flags and might be a threat to eat himself out of a signficant role somewhere down the road

DE- Robert Ayers...workout warrior who never did much of anything on game days at Tennessee...cant see how a guy who couldnt produce a lick in college will suddenly be a 10 sack a yr guy in the NFL

OLB- Brian Cushing...will probably be drafted in the first rd and be a decent starter, but never a difference maker

ILB- James Laurinaitis...will struggle with the speed of the NFL game bigtime IMO...probably a two down player at best

CB-Vontae Davis...red flags galore...poor attitude and work ethic...bust written all over him

S- William Moore...awful senior yrand poor senior bowl week are indicative of future IMO

He's a track speedster who shows no speed on the football field. He was frequently caught from behind by college players. Therefore, I can't imagine that he'll be some amazing burner in the NFL.

Man, I wish I could see the Highlights...

Every player we pick if they aren't an all pro in their first year.

Wrong...

We all know these guys will be busts if they don't dominate minicamps. ;)

And I think this draft stinks and a lot of "big name" guys will disappoint: Raji, Cushing, Maulaluga, Sanchez, Laurinitis, Robinson.

Sanchez. Book it. Heres hoping to him being a Commander next year.

ha ha ha....i see you are a Crabtree fan......I am too but i dont think he will make a good NFL wr.....just my hunch....i hope im wrong (unless he goes to a rival then i hope he fails miserably)

Had we not given up an arm and a leg for Roy last year I guarantee we would be inquiring about what it would've cost to get him. I've head our FO really likes him.

I believe since he has such raw WR abilities, he is only going to get better and better as he learns the game. I don't really know the quality of his conferences' DBs but he was uncoverable his entire career, and really made Graham look a lot better than he really is.

We didn't really have enough to get McFadden. A lot of that was contingent on the Browns' pick being high and it wasn't. McFadden is probably on this team if the Browns' pick from last year was as high as it this year.

No but our organization really likes Crabtree. I don't know if they really liked McFadden.

I hoped that his stress fracture would have made a few teams more cautious but I don't see him slipping out of the top 10 under any circumstances.

There would've been fuel to this fire had Jerry not made his bed with Roy E last year.
