No because him and Ware was in the same mold on the Cowboys draft charts and Bill Parcells thought that his second round talent Demarcus Ware is better than a first round talent in Shawne Merriman. We took a chance on a second round talent instead of a first round talent player.

This is such BS I don't even know where to begin. He was a first round talent no doubt. We took him at 11 because he wasn't going to be there at 20. Then Spears happened to be there at 20, and it was like Christmas in Valley Ranch.
