Ok. I've been out of the loop. Is Jacque Reeves going to start? (Rotoworld)

I apologize for starting a thread that has probably already been discussed, but it's difficult to search for something like this.

I recently saw this from Rotoworld. I don't know how accurate or reliable they are.

Jacques Reeves will be the Cowboys' starting left cornerback while Terence Newman recovers from his foot injury.

Nobody knows who's starting. It'll likely be a game time decision. If Terence can't go, Reeves will be starting.

IMHO-I think TNew will play throughout the year, getting daily treatment.

As for Rotoworld, it's alot like the National Enquirer, don't take it seriously.

ok thanks.

I checked their source which was dallascowboys.com. The only thing that I read was that Newman would be a game-time decision. Rotoworld was reporting that it was definite that Reeves would be starting.

why doesn't everyone just check on here 1st?

I dunno-maybe all these "The Sky Is Falling B/c Terrence Newman is Hurt" threads are by the 1000s now, which is scaring people away.:bang2:

I keep thinkig about what Jerry said an i'm paraphrasing, "If the injury remains the same, he'll be OK, if it tears completely, he'll be OK"

Jerry is saying, that ship has sailed. He got injured and nothing we can do about it. He'll play through the pain no matter what.

TNew said something along those very lines. Like "If i'm ok i'll play and if i'm not Ok i'll play.

At first i was under the impression this may be something that he couldn't go with, ut after hearing all the talk about it i've realized all we can do is manage the pain if it doesn't heal.

Why do you even quote rotoworld? THEY quoted dallascowboys.com!
That leaves the Cowboys counting on fourth-year veteran Jacques Reeves to start in Newman's place if he can't go.
A one legged Newman is not gonna help us out. Plus i don't want his injury to get even worse. Let him sit for a few games, it's not gonna ruin our entire season even if we lose 2 games because of that, which is not going to happen.

Thats all fine and dandy if it does heal up completely, even if it takes till next off season, personally id rather sit him for the next couple games. Seems he could make it worse, I dont want to see him in 10 years crippled and lame.

If the docs tell him he can play with cortizone <sp> shots and not damage it permanently, then go for it, but I dont think it will heal during the season. Dont get me wrong Im not a worrier by nature but this worries me.

Wade did not say Reeves is the starter yesterday in his pc. He said that Newman is the starter, is a coin toss whether he will be out there, and if not, Reeves will start
