Ray Rice is appealling. There is something about this dude that says emmitt part 2.Hes small in stature and wide.blocky guy.short rbs are less prone to leg injuries and tougher to see in the holes.I am wondering what u guys think.

If McFadden is gone I think Rice would be an option. I think Mike Hart would be an option as well as Slaton if he comes out next year.

Rice is easily a Heisman candidate behind that line. And he is playing great football.

Certainly a top 10 pick at this point.

I dunno about Mike hart dude. He screams number 3 nfl back to me. He's undersized and slow. Not a good combo. I do like the point about Mcfadden's knees though. Big tall back who runs fairly upright. Good idea on Ray Rice. But if I'm Jerry Jones, I can't pass on Mcfadden.

Emmitt Smith was undersized and too slow as well. Hart is a damn good player and I say this not as a Mich fan what so ever but Hart has great blance and vision and is a hell of a RB.

The thread should be: "Ray Rice is pretty good but ... McFadden is a beast!"

I like Hart too and if JJ is not resigned I think Hart is an ideal compliment to MBII. He is a nice inside runner, shifty and gets the most out of every play. I don't think he will be a star but he will be productive in the right scheme.

And we can probably get him late 1st to 2nd round.

You want to know how to judge a running back coming out of college. How does he handle contact. If he always just runs by everyone and never has much contact, then odds are he won't translate well. If he has good running ability and can bouce off defenders, then he has a shot at being a good NFL running back.

I perfer Rice... too many ? on McFadden
Such as...

"How many yards will he run this week?"

"Is there actually anyone else competing with him for the Heisman this year?"

And, of course...

"Is it true that he can throw a pigskin a quarter mile?"

I have a hard time thinking he would be the number one pick in the draft, or even top 5. I really like the kid, but man think about all that $$$$$ for a RB at that spot. Dare I even bring up a DL from LSU? Dorsey is a monster, or maybe a WR if there is one that is worth that spot?

So you would pay that WR big money but not the RB?
