Juck, I understand your point of view and it's well warranted given recent history with our fearless leader #9. That said, I have seen a marked improvement over the last 5 weeks or so that leads me to believe he might finally be turning the corner. I consider my optimism guarded. I'll never get too high again because getting those hopes dashed in a blaze of 6-44 glory sucks ***. However, I remain hopeful that this December thing will finally go away and we will both get to enjoy a positive playoff game or two in the near future.

There are no "Romo haters" in my opinion. To me they're just fans that have seen it all before and refuse to be sucked in yet again. They can call my guarded optimism whatever they choose. It won't change the fact that I enjoy being more middle of the road nowadays versus dangling out there on that extreme left or right soft shoulder.

So, to conclude Juck, do your thing because more people understand where you're coming from than you'll probably ever know in this thread.

Thank you Blue. I dont hate Romo,I just have been crushed by him many times so i keep an even keel.He is actually playing great now, this is where it starts crunch time.I hope he keeps it going.I have no dumb agenda as some of these idiots say.

If we lose to philly, the cause will not be Romo--as good as he is, he can't accomplish much without playcalling, blocking, running, catching, thinking, reacting properly, focusing, guts, etc. of teammates and coaches.

If Dallas is going to beat Philly it will be because we continue to play as a team in all phases of the game. This game is not about Romo it is about the Dallas Cowboys

I don't doubt Romo or the team this week. I do think it's very possible we lose simply because the Eagles are extremely talented and playing well at home.

He needs to work on hitting guys in the numbers and not throwing behind them or over their heads. Philly's defense is a lot less forgiving than Seattle's. Romo will be pressured, he cannot make stupid throws. This is the kind of game where Romo might have to tuck the ball and run with it a bit.

The one prediction that I will make regarding Romo is that he will be well prepared and will give it his best effort. If he struggles during the game he won't give up. The guy is smart, talented and has a lot of character IMO. I think we saw some of his character after the Giants and Broncos games when he kept chugging along in spite of all the naysayers. The guy keeps getting back up when he gets knocked down. I think that's really all you can ask of any athlete in the NFL. I won't worry about him until he consistently shows that he can't play at the level a NFL QB needs to play. Hopefully that will be several years from now.

I hope the 'boys pull it off but even if they don't it's not the end of the season. As Witten said yesterday, it's a big game but we can't make it bigger than it really is.

I think that's the sentiment of many fans.

In order for #9 to have a good game the OL, the defense, and special teams need to show up,,, you can't go on the road to Philthadelphia and expect your QB to carry the team.

The past two quotes are the ones that hit hardest for me. I've been critical of Romo and his perceived weakness in December and I've never been shy about it. In that frame of mind, I overlook the very fundamental thing that I've known about football for years in order to drive home a point. Maybe it's my emotional attachment to the team that allows me to throw out logic and just scream, scream, scream about something. Lost in all the hoopla is one undeniable fact: this is a TEAM game.

Romo isn't losing these games all by himself. People (my self included) have looked at the INTs and said "See! It's Romo!". Caught up in the vitriol they completely ignore the fact the O-line (9 times out of 10) failed him on the play. Could Romo make better decisions in those situations? Absolutely! And, to be honest, I think he is. Romo isn't flawless. Neither is Peyton, or Tom, or Ben. He's going to make mistakes. It's the REALLY dumb mistakes that he has to eliminate. And, that goes not just for Romo, but for every other player out there. 52 players lost to the Eagles last year. 52 players lost to the Ravens last year. 52 players lost to the Steelers last year. When ALL 52 of those players take a personal stake in their accountability to those losses (and wins for that matter), then things will start to turn around. I'm guardedly optimistic that we are seeing that process as we speak. There are very few players on this team (actually none that I can think of) that are acting like super stars, right now. That has not been the case the past few seasons. There seems to be ZERO sense of entitlement amongst the players on this team right now. 44-6 will do that to a group. No one on this team has forgotten how last season ended. They're just sick of talking about it. They know that this is their chance to wash a nasty, nasty taste out of their mouths. I think they are ready. How they show in this game is going to say alot about this team. They don't even necessarily need to win to validate themselves, but they MUST show that they will NOT be walked on again. I DO think a win in this game catapults this team to an amazing Nov/Dec run.

I think pop is the best coach in the league. The Spurs are not going to do much this year, they are a year older and a year slower.

I'm a Suns so I can't really argue about championships or anything like that..Still upset about some of those playoff games we've had.

Umm lets take into account they have a great coach, they have Parker the french fairy, they have Ginobili. That was like an all star team for years.Who did Dirk have?Jet?A young JHO?Cmon.Do u even watch the game?Completely diff sport. The QB can kill a game with turnovers.Lebron has no rings. Kobe wouldnt without the help he has had.Throw Dirk on Celtics instead of KG and u get instant rings too.Dirk is the best PF in the game hands down.He does his part.

2 Weeks getting abused by Oakland and McNabb playing awful against the Skins and they are going to "smoke" us based on that......

Please.....

Desean Jackson is the key right now to beating Philly. Newman and Jenkins better be ready. If they don't contain him this is going to be a shootout much like last years opener.

That Atlanta game was nothing I guess and we dominate a team were supposed too and that counts for nothing too I guess. Maybe we just need to lose to Oakland to get some respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys who say "the way Philly is playing right now" crack me up... you do realize that they totalled 262 yds of offense against Washington, and 283 yds against the Raiders before playing the Giants right? I mean what is "right now"? Is one week enough to say that all their problems scoring and moving the ball consistently now over after one game?

So they had like 391 yds and scored a bunch of points on the Giants? We had like 378 yds and 31 points WITH FOUR TURNOVERS! The Giants simply are not as good as advertised right now... certainly not good enough for me to be any more scared of the Eagles than normal....
