Hambrick - thought he was gonna be a boulder running downhill... turned into a pebble

Henson - showed a little something here and there... but QB's need consistency... I dont know if he ever could be...

even Quincy had me going for a little while... it was like... we are winning, we are winning... but I kept feeling like the hammer was gonna drop... then IT did...

heck... I was pulling for every QB that came through the door... Leaf - I had hoped he resurrected his career - NOT.... Cunningham - NOT.... etc...

and... who was that DE that we got for one year and then he left.... said we used him wrong... he might have been right

I thought Parcell's would get us to the promised land...still think he could have, depite my dislike of his conservative playcalling.

I thought Henson would develop into a football player.

I bought the hype on Pettiti too.

I'm still on board with Julius, but unless he shows me something special this year, that won't be the case next year.

I hated Danny White when I was growing up...I was still under the impression that every Cowboys QB would be as good as Roger.

I think Bill pulled the trigger TOO LATE on Romo for Bill to get the blinkie. If Bill starts Romo beginning of 2005 season... who knows how much better we would have been in 2006?

I thought Quincy was gonna be a good/great QB for us.

I thought Pete Hunter was gonna be an asset to our secondary.

I didn't think Hambrick was THAT bad before he became our starting RB.

I called a 1400 yard season for Hambrick...umm, woops.

I thought Mike Williams would be a superstar WR.

Chris Perry was my favorite RB in the Jujo/Steven Jackson draft.

Just one instance? Geez like most I fell for Petitti, missed on Henson, I could go on for a while.

On the other hand I was right about Randy Moss. :D

Ahhh, where to begin. We'll just go with the most recent.

I thought going with Romo meant no playoffs for us in 2006.

I was Quincy's biggest fan...
went on record as saying he would be league MVP in his 3rd full year...instead, he got cut for drugs...err...performance.

Wonder what kind of year he would have had if he didn't get cut and stayed off the wacky weed....
:eek::

edit: can i add one more?
I was very, very dissapointed we couldn't find a way to draft Andre Wadsworth...I even had him added to my Madden team before that draft...

A long time ago I thought NLF referees were honest and that the Boys were going to beat the Baltimore Colts, whom the Boys had beaten during the regular season, in SB5. Because I was wrong about the former, I became wrong about the latter.

The second major wrong was that I thought BP was going to lead this team to a SB in spite of his personal limitations - I was obviously wrong about that, too, but it didn't matter to me. Still doesn't.

That SB5 situation was so emotionally devastating to me that it took six months before I finally was able to recover most of my psyche. I realized it was my fault for becoming emotionally involved in a game where I was not a player and could not affect anything about it.

I swore I would never again care anything at all about which team won any game or which players did well, or which refs cheated, but just to watch the games as a dispassionate observer without any favorites and I have kept my promise to myself.

I also quit screaming and cursing at the TV set and breaking things and remained calm and collected no matter what happened. That has served me well the past twelve years of King Jerry's reign.

Yeah, I'm holding back my feelings and some may think I am miserable, but I consider my life greatly improved and so do those who watch the games with me. They say I'm much better company now; I definitly enjoy the games more now, even when the Boys lose. That bobbled snap by Romo in the playoffs was surprising but not devastating to me. Life goes on.

Though I am still not a huge fan of his, I thought T.O. would be much worse for the Cowboys. Also, I thought it wasn't Zimmer's fault.

I thought Peterman and Rogers would be cornerstone O-linemen for years to come, boy, was I wrong.

Back when he was in college, I thought Q. Carter would never be drafted.:bang2:
