It just seems to me that the players want to be turned loose and they have the skills to run it up.

i agree we will pass more than we run, and looking at Parcells past. When he has the ability he passes more frequent than he runs the ball anyway.

Unfortunately, didn't alot of us think this last year? The one time that BP left it up to the players and opened it up was against the Eagles and we crushed them.

I think the players ALWAYS want to open it up....it's ALWAYS the coaches that hold them back.

I think Bill will play to the strengths of the team which is imo a passing offense. TO glenn witten fasano etc. especially considering we havent seen JJ play a full year I expect Bledsoe to pass a lot this year, maybe even 4000 yards.

I think the great thing is it can be either. It can and will pound the ball and pound the ball and take time off the clock, but a quick strike to Witten for 15 yards, or a bomb to Glenn for 50 is just a play away. Brutally efficient was what came to my mind watching them tonight.

Yes... And all that without this Terrell Owens guy who is a defenses worst nightmare. Hes just going to open things up for this run game and Glenn and all of our other weapons.

31 pass plays - 46 rush play. Thats a bit lopsided. I think we'll be more balanced in the regular season though.

Its preseason guys... Parcells ALWAYS works on the stuff the team struggles with during preseason. Tonight, it seemed as if he was intent on running the ball regardless of anything else. We did wonderfully in the passing game... in part due to good play on our side and POOR play in their secondary. So, he stuck to running the ball as that is something that needs much more work than the passing game at this point.

Lets not get carried away just yet.

Exactly right. It doesn't make sense to me to hold this team back though. TO is going to draw double teams. That means Glenn (Wow!) and Witten are going to benefit. This team could move the chains in a big time hurry if they were turned loose.

Add to that the way the first unit defense is playing and I think the games could be fun to watch.

I think if we want to win the Super Bowl we'll have to be a pinball machine offense. Turn 'em loose Bill.
