Okay, I am REALLY excited about this team....

I mean, in a way I havent been since the mid-90s. We havent had this much young talent nor this good of an offseason in a decade. Im not saying how good we will do, but this is the first year in a LONG, LONG time where I will be dissapointed and depressed if we dont make the playoffs. I always hope we do, but havent gotton upset over it for almost a decade because I expected it.,

I have no expecations of this team at all but it is undeniable that our FA pickups, draft and preseason have all been successful to the extent where I can understand why so many are encouraged.

I guess I will join that bandwagon in a year or two when we go with youth and a real future at QB.

I'm still having a big problem knowing Bledsoe is back there.

Gonna be fun all the same.

I really dont worry about Bledsoe as much as I worry about the O-Line. People say its becuase he imobile, well Peyton Manning isnt any more mobile than Drew, but he has a great O-Line.

The contrast between this roster and last year's could be more stark.

We were forced to watch the likes of Wiley, Dedric Ward, Eddie George, Vinny, et al...It was damn near impossible to get passionate about that team.

There was ZERO youth.

This season? A whole new ball game.

Well, last time I was feeling passion, Sarge ran from the board because I simply mentioned that I was feeling "stirrings" in my loins.

I feel the ST play will be much improved now that the regular season is starting.

With the regular season schedule that we have, if we make it to the playoffs, we should be a threat to go deep in the playoffs.

It could take a while for all the new faces and old faces to "jell" with each other and play together as a coordinated team. And we face a very tough test right off the bat with San Diego. That will be a tough game for us to win.

However, if we do make it to the playoffs, which I'm expecting, it's quite possible that we will have started off a little shakey, making rookie mistakes etc, then got stronger and stronger as the season goes on. If this is the case, we could go very deep into the playoffs as long as the younguns don't get the "first time in the playoffs fever".

I am also more excited about this team than any of the last 8 years.

If you can't get excited about opening week and the prospect of this team you gotta be dead or shell shocked from the past few season. I see a lot of reason for hope on this team and a chance at a pretty special season. I won't go as far as talking SB but I think it is going to be a fun ride this season
