This seems like one of those games where Texas could either blow the Huskers the hell out or get blown out themselves. For some reason, I just don't see a close game, even though they appear on the surface to be fairly similar. What are your feelings gang?

Not a fan of either team...but I think Texas beats the cornhuskers with ease.

Now I would not mind Nebraska beating texas as I don't care for either team and since I don't I usually hope the underdog beats the ranked team.

I just think Texas is too good of a team for Nebraska

Nebraska is much better than expected this year... Callahan seems to be moving the program in the right direction...

That being said, I don't see it is a very close game... 34-14 Horns... something of that nature...

I don't like the early start time.

The 2002 game in Lincoln was excellent and I was hoping for another night game.

I think Texas comes out flat in this one and losses by 7 points or less

:(

How the hell did the Longhorns not earn that win?

I must say, Nebraska has one stout defense!

you aggies are a riot...just pure gold. I understand that you are fired up after beating your paper tiger in Mizzou and I can't wait to see you lose 3 more games this year to put aggy right back where they belong.

Texas actually should have blown them out easily if not for all the mental mistakes and points left on the field.

Texas forced and created that win.

Bull. Texas dominated that game. Nebraska was the one who didn't earn it. They scored on 3 freak, big plays. Every other time they were dominated. Texas missed 2 FGs and an XP, and had a bunch of stupid penalties. Not to mention a couple more starters went out due to injury during the game. It was raining, snowing, windy, on the road in Nebraska.

Texas earned this.

It's unreal. I am convinced Mack Brown has sold his soul to the Devil, the unbelievable string of luck tu gets is simply mind boggling. The phantom PI call that saved their season in 2004 against Kansas, the TD that replay shows should not have been in the NC game last year against USC, and now a fumble on the road against Nebraska on the one play where NU could not afford it. If that receiver falls down, he had the first down, and it's over. Period. That receiver doesnt fumble against any other team in the nation.

It's gotton to the point where no matter how much another team is up by or how much time is left, I just mark tu games down as wins for them. It seems God just wont let them lose.

And yet you needed a miracle, and even then tu almost lost the game again by fumbling themselves but recovering.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Someday, somehow, tu's luck will run out. For 3 years tu has gotton every bounce, every call, every possible play to go their way when they needed it to. Somethings can be attributed to skill. Referees making blatantly bad calls over and over in your favor and fumbles happening when you have to have them is not. You give me any close game tu has won over that time span, I'll show you that every important play and every single critical call went in their favor. It's un-fawking-real.

Again, one bounce of the football. Texas was one play away from losing 4 games over the last two years, yet everytime they needed it, the critical play or the critical call went their way.

I don't call recovering fumbles "luck". When an offensive lineman hustles down field along with the wide receiver instead of standing around after his initial blocks, that is called hustle. That is why Texas recovers alot of fumbles.

Anyway, It was a sloppy game on Texas' part and they let a team hang around too long, but now I will go have a beer and polish my replica MNC trophy...

I don't really want to get in the middle of your pissing match ... but Texas did not dominate this game, AT ALL!

Just as much as Texas let Nebraska stay in this game, Nebraska took away their opportunities to put their foot to Texas' throat as well.

The opening KO with breakdown in coverage by two freshmen. Letting two punts go by to change field position COMPLETELY in the 1st half, one of which set up your 1st TD. The HORRIBLE decision by Taylor to Neil O'Donnell the INT that setup the TD to Swead. I could go on, but you get the point. Nebraska kicked themself in the arse just as much as Texas did.

And the key stats from the game ...

First Downs:

Texas - 18
Nebraska - 15

Total Yards:

Texas - 321
Nebraska - 310

Rush Yards:

Texas - 114 (34 carries)
Nebraska - 39 (24 carries)

Pass Yards:

Texas - 204
Nebraska - 271

Not exactly sure how that equals dominance.

To hold one of the top rushing teams to 39 yards is pretty impressive.
