OL, specifically right side has to get better; nearly cost us game

Aside from pass rushers & corners, the most important position to find a dominant player is at TE. Witten has maybe two years left, & we still don't have his replacement on this team. That is unacceptable. Jake Butt, Michigan & Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas both come from teams who demand that their tight ends block well. Both are dependable receivers. I think we can get Sprinkle in the 3rd-4th round.

Free is the only problem on the OL, outside of that you just need to give the Vikes D the credit they deserve.

A TE should be a high draft priority this year. Escobar just isn't cutting it.

The biggest turnover of the game was Free allowing his guy to run right by him nearly untouched. T Fred nearly cost us another turnover by snapping the ball off his behind.

There were several VERY key plays worth pointing out. First drive of the game, LT Smith jumps early killing off the drive. Free wipes out a game changing 42 yard run with a holding penalty. (I do think this call was BS) Lastly, not directly related to the OL but the Escobar penalties were beyond costly.

These guys need to clean it up if we are going to make a deep playoff run. Dak once again would have had zero turnovers if he had good blocking throughout. Zeke would have gone for 150+ and a TD and we would have won by 2-3 TDs or more.

I feel they will get better and clean it up against the Giants.

You're obviously too young to have watched the Cowboys when Andre Gurode was the Center because if you had watched then, you would never in the history of ever criticize Travis Frederick for the way he snaps the ball.

Free sucks but the holding call was bogus. The defender did the equivalent of an NBA flop to draw the officials attention.

One of Escobar's penalties was bogus and the other one wouldn't get called by some refs.

It's one game where these guys struggled and the sky is falling. You do know we played 11 games right? For people to come out of the woods and yap about Free, about Escobar is just comedy. Why haven't I heard this all year long? Because they've been down right good that's why. The Vikes are a darn good defense. Remember that.

Every QB "struggles" at times otherwise you would have perfect passer ratings every game. He played about as good as QB can play given the circumstances. Nothing wrong with admitting that.

Well, there's struggles and then there's struggles. Dak is the main reason the Cowboys had less than 300 yards of offense last night. But it's OK. Each time he's struggled this season, he's come back with a strong performance in the next outing

This is exactly why all the penalties were called against us. The NFL knew we would run away with it if the refs did not assist the Vikings in keeping the game close. The NFL is getting too much like the NBA for my taste.

What will they sound like when the Cowboys actually lose?

You know there's a lot of stupidity when Clove, who's a pessimist by nature, is a voice of reason.

What's up with some of these guys Clove? They had a game that they struggled, against the best defense in the NFL who does the same, and worse, to every team every other week. (besides Arizona).

We won't face another defense like that the rest of the year. And yet, we still won.

Doug Free is horrible. The guy has been a liability in pass blocking since Tyron Smith was drafted. Average run blocker at best. Anybody that says otherwise, hasn't paid attention to him over the years.

That being said, it's impossible to have a pro bowler at every position...

I wouldn't place too much confidence in PFF. That is the same outfit that warned "Buyer Beware" in regards to Dak Prescott just prior to the draft:

"After an underwhelming Senior Bowl, Prescott should only be considered towards the end of the draft."

Prescott was MVP of the Senior Bowl, lol. PFF can't be taken seriously. Their grading system obviously stinks.

To be honest, and I hate bringing this up. But to be honest, the guys that are entrenched in Romo are the ones doing this. They are so hurt that Romo is not playing, the are coming out of the wood works, praying that Dak has that mess up game so that they can say, "you see, it's time for Romo to come back". They are delusional fans that actually need to go root for whatever team Romo is traded to.

The fact is, this team is playing at a HIGH level. All teams are gunning to beat us right now. They are pulling out everything they can possibly pull out. We had some turnovers last night that never happens. If we didn't have those turnovers, this game is a route by Dallas. There were questionable calls during the night, but I'm not going to use that as an excuse. Dak used his legs VERY WELL. He didn't take off running, he ran to save his own life, and to help the drives along. If Dak had dove instead of slid on that last play, the game would have been 17-9.

I don't know what more you could ask of this team, but I'm damn proud right now.

A lot of this post is spot ON TRUE......

Once or when & if Dak screws up royally--they'll come out of the woodwork stating just THAT

I remember all those plays but when you list them out this way, you're right. this was by far the olines worst game. Too many costly mistakes. These guys are waaaaay too good for that kind of performance. It shouldn't have been a close game and wouldn't have been if we hadn't kept shooting ourselves in the foot.

No wonder Dak can do no wrong. He's been a fan since they drafted Dak.

He made a statement that at Miss Dak had more consistent snaps then here. He knows nothing about any other players or the history of this club. Now it's easy to really discredit this guy. 7 months???
Still bitter huh?
