Not sure how many times if any this has been covered, but do you think our O-Line will be as good as last year or worse?

Myself I'm hoping we're as good, but I expect we take a few steps back. Why?

We lost Bill Callahan our OL coach for the past 3 years. A lot of fans think it's mainly talent that gets the job done, but in reality coaching has a huge impact. A coach has to know when to get in a players face, or use kid gloves. They also have to know which players you can use to motivate, and one's that are self motivating. Now we have a OL coach I've never heard of, not sure how good he is, but as I said I'm expecting us to take a step or two back, I'm hoping we take a step forward and are even more dominant. I'm also hoping Bill isn't nearly as successful in Washington as he's been in Dallas and other places he's coached.

If healthy, they will be better. Young guys still learning. Running holes will be bigger, pass protection against stunts will be better. If healthy it will be the #1 OL without a doubt.

Pass protection gets better the longer a player is in the league due to technique and recognition improving. Run blocking will be just as good. I see no reason not to expect at least as good if not better play if healthy.

I may be in the minority here but I don't think it will be and I think the loss of Bill Callahan will hurt more than we originally thought.

Pretty sure the guys on the line are self motivated without the need of an OL coach to light a fire.

Last year they were very good but we all knew they could be even better. Then we added more talent with Collins. Provided Free holds up I think we are better. I also like the recent Cowboys agressiveness in looking for OT depth.

Better as the young guys gain experience,,, unless one of the tackles misses extended time,,, fingers crossed.

Recognition and technique will improve and will negate the l;oss of Callhand.

Better......Dallas goes as far as the OL goes. Includes keeping Romo upright and protected. This goes for the RB's too. Which is my biggest concern. I'd be willing to give up 500 yards rushing over good blocking. The backs are smaller and blitz recognition is vital if they stand a chance in stopping LBer's or DE's. They have to be in position. JMO, of course.

It will be a good test for the OL this season. They play a lot of good defenses. They didn't play that great vs the lions, rams or eagles 1st game.

Who are these great defenses they play?

Eagles don't have a great defense. Romo was playing on 4 days rest and couldnt make his normal throws, per his explanation.

Seattle - played last year

Who else? Miami?

Cowboys offense plays against a great defense every day in practice. (their own)

Miami, buffalo, panthers, jets, eagles have a good front 7, Commanders are supposed to have a good front 7 also.

If we have problems with the Panthers, Jets and Commanders (and Eagles D for that matter) then this team isn't a contender.

I do think Miami and Buffalo will present some potential challenges.
