I was watching some game replays and noticed the pass protection has been incredible this first five games compared to the last few years. There are times when Dak just stands there and surveys the field for an eternity. There always seemed to be at least one guy coming free after the QB the last couple years. I'm sure the threat of Zeke has a lot to do with it, but whatever it is, it's noticeable.

I would add Zeke own blocking ability as reason for improved pass protection. Kid does a great job of picking up the rusher, he is not just getting in the defenders way he has been laying the wood on these blocks.

Very good point. I guess I've noticed it but, it's maybe one of those things not as noticeable when it's very good.

Nice observation.

Zeke was often the lead blocker at Ohio State for quarterback keepers. He loves to blow people up.

Not going to comment on Oline pass rush protection until I see them against the Packers.

Good blocking, lethal run threat, and LBs spying Prescott because of his running ability.

Another underrated feature that EzE does well. Seriously like another lineman out there

Yes, last year I had questions about Frank Pollack taking over for Bill Callahan as offensive line coach. We did not seem cohesive on the line, but we also had several injuries in the preseason and then chose to insert a rookie for Leary because of Leary's injuries.

This year, the play of the line has returned to the standard set in 2014 by Callahan and Pollack deserves credit for players like Green being able to step in without there being much of a drop-off.

I was really worried about Dunlap coming into the game but he was a non factor for the most part

I personally thought a couple of years ago that our run blocking was way better than our pass blocking, due to Tyron's Smith's struggles against really fast rushers. But this year, I don't feel that way. I think Tyron is a true pro bowl Tackle over there. And we all know that Free can be up and down, but so far, the guy's been mostly up.
