Typical political answers from Ciskowski.

I just get the feeling that he doesn't have as much power as he should.

I think he's just an information provider and Jason is a buffer between Tom and Stephen.

Stephen makes the pick and Jerry does whatever Stephen tells him to do.

His comments were not contrived or rehearsed. He is not a puppet and there is no conspiracy. The guy was being honest and forthcoming. Can't you just give a guy a break?

Good grief. You guys don't sound any different than media.

After Ciskowski finished they bring on Jonathan Bales, essentially a snot-nosed kid trying to break into the media from what I can glean (got his 1st press credentials to get inside at Radio City this year, otherwise he's never made it in.)

Bales proceeds to 2nd guess with the tired old line that he's "pretty sure they could have gotten Frederick at pick 47". He also missed the fact that Ciskowski said without hesitation that Frederick, Escobar & Williams were all in Dallas top 30.

Every one has a right to their opinion.

This is a perfect example of how "The Internet" killed the NFL Draft experience. Rankings by amateurs and wannabes taken as the gospel by gullible fans and media alike.

If you don't know, just make it up as you go while ignoring the up swing in the quality of our drafts over the past several years. Typical for this day and age.

SMH.

And this is an example of a generalized and ignorant-filled statement.

You are correct...

So, you want to go down the personal attack road? Nice. Really hammers my point home. If you didn't follow the Draft before the internet, then I guess I could understand your response. Maybe you aren't that old.

BTW, Disrespect is so cool in a public forum.

I think they should fire any media member who doesn't agree with our front office.

I listened to it last night. And I knew there would be two camps. People who took the information and gleaned some knowledge off of it, and others who pushed at aside because they didn't agree/like what they heard.

And yes, it's a huge issue. People on this forum read some mock draft boards and some scouting reports and all of a sudden they know more than scouting departments and coaches....

I followed the NFL draft pre and post Internet. It's better now.

Yes. We should give the benefit of the doubt to our front office. They've been so stellar stockpiling talent over the years.

Where was the personal attack again?

Has nothing to do with how successful or not they have been (which in the last three years has been pretty successful), but in terms of explaining reasoning and decisions... absolutely.

From the stand point of logic, it makes perfect sense to listen to what they say and take it for what it is.

At the end of the day, either the team trusts its board, or it doesn't. If you can't trust the team to setup its board in the first place, there isn't any hope.

And if there's no hope, what's the point of complaining about being disappointed? It's like Sisyphus acting surprised upset every time the rock rolls downhill.

Sure but that works both ways.

It's easy to state your opinion about someone that isn't ever going to respond. At least a critic of someone that can and will respond can be held accountable.
