Good and bad memories. Dallas wins the SB but the off season is filled with drug bust and other activities that come to light and started a downward spiral.

My son just sent this to me.

Perhaps my greatest memory as a Cowboys fan.

Winning 3 out of 4 was unprecedented, as was beating the Stoolers in the Super Bowl.

I know this sounds strange, but that's my least favorite Super Bowl win. I thought we were going to blow the Steelers out. So I didn't feel good when they were hanging close at the end. But thank goodness the Steelers had an honorary Cowboy playing for them that day. :D

A season is filled with good and bad breaks. Had the Packers not upset the 49ers, I don't think a Switzer-led Cowboys team would have beaten San Francisco, which absolutely dusted us during the regular season and cracked the Cowboys sense of invincibility. Of course, I believe had Jimmy Johnson stayed, we would have been playing for our fourth consecutive Super Bowl victory going into Super Bowl 30. :(

Maybe then again with what was taking place off the field who knows what may or may not have happened. These activities were already taking place it just came into light after that SB. I know some say Jimmy would have been able to prevent this but then Jimmy was the HC for the Gangster U in Miami so I don't think it was a given that Jimmy could have prevented a team self destructing by their own actions. We will never know

If you lived where I live, you would understand.

Living through all of their crap over the years, .. I'm not sure I could have withstood losing to them in another Super Bowl.

That win was my 'helicopter' as I was standing on my roof with the flood waters all around me.

I hear ya. But I could never say least favorite.

Imagine of we lost. Sooooo many ramifications. Good lord.

I hit my head on ceiling twice. Each of Larry Browns ints.

They were like gifts from nfl gods for Jackie smith and Lynn Swann's bs.... Lol

True. It's only speculation on my part. Fortunately, we were able to win three in four years. I'll take that. :)

I understand. I guess my disappointment was more the fact we didn't blow them out. That's how the game started, but we got cold after a 14-3 lead. Thankfully, we had Neil O'Donnell as our quarterback. :D

aka super bowl porno.

we gonna win superbowl 50. watch.

Haha yeah I remember I just started high school when SB 30 came around. I got a poster (still have it today) that said "Super Bowl XXX" in big font. It was sitting on my bed partially covered such that you could only see "XXX." My mom walked in and freaked out because she thought I bought a dirty poster hahaha. Those were the good ole days

You and me both brother. I was like what the.....? We fell flat after halftime.

I had $500 on game. Giving 14 pts.

I was thinking... Man if we lose, we lose AND lose $500. *****!

So, I started saying, ***** the $500.... JUST WIN SB!
I can always make another $500... Can never get that SB back.

People just looked at me. Lol

I agree but that last SB I guess lost a lot of luster, instead of an off season of celebration the focus was on Irvin getting busted, the exposer of the white house and all sorts of bad news that put the Cowboys and fans to ridicule. Don't get me wrong winning 3 in 4 years was great but the way things ended hurt.

People talk about hurting after the losses to the 9ers and Montana and games like that but frankly the biggest hurt as a Cowboy fan I have experienced was after SB XXX

Dude. Seriously? Lol

We still won it.

So, where would you rank it of we would have lost and then had the Irvin and company sideshow? Lol

Scandal and drugs and all. I was still supporting and touting them.

Yes seriously. As I said I was thrilled to see 3 SB in 4 years, I was happy to see the franchise get it's 5th overall but as a long time Cowboys fan to see this franchised dragged through the mud, it hurt.
I have always supported the team but what took place and what I feel was the beginning of the end, that sucked. Things would only get worse as Tunie dies from an overdose there was a lot of bad things taking place

My blood pressure was at an all time high right before Neil O'Donnell threw the second interception to Larry Brown. I hate the Steelers and could not stomach another loss to them in a Super Bowl.
