I have told this story before on this board, but it is one of my favorites, so bear with me as I tell it again.

Background:
We live in stooler country and have to hear and see steeler crap ALL OF THE TIME!

Story:
When we had 2 SB wins and the steelers had 4 as Red mentions above, one of my buddies (who was a long time Cowboys fan too) made bets with any steeler fan that would take it that we would get to 5 SB wins before they did.

What a gutsy bet!

The rest is history, ... I love that story!

Great story and I reveled in that fact for years.

Then they got 5 ... Then 6.....

I was so glad Green Bay stopped them from getting 7.... Geez lol

ODonnell saw Dallas showing blitz, he signaled out to the WR that it was a hot read, WR took off and Neil threw the ball where he expected his WR would be. He took the heat but WR screw up

I have read that Dallas's whole game plan on defense was to force O'Donnell into throwing the short underneath throws, .. not let him hit the deep ball, .. and that he would sooner or later make a mistake.

In the AFC Championship game he had hit one or two long bombs over the top of the defense, (Colts I think with Jim Harbaugh at QB)

So our plan was not to let that happen, ... force him to be patient, and he would make a mistake.

And he finally did, twice.

again the WR must pick up on the hot read and he didn't he took off and being that is a quick pass O'Donnell has to trust his man to be there.

Nice read.

So funny to read, "forced him to be patient, and he would make a mistake"

13-0 lead; it's too bad Irvin committed pass interference on his TD catch, otherwise Dallas might have led 17-0.

I think a 17-0 lead would have been entirely different than 13-0.

Your memory is better than mine. And I was too lazy to look it up. :)

Any time a Steelers fan mentions that game being close, I just say, "Yeah but half of Dallas' team was stoned that whole week." lol

Close ??

I always tell stooler fans that I love close games where we are up 10 points as we take a knee at the end.
