TOTALLY AWESOME!!!I remember we where we sat... four of us from work. There was a group a couple of seats down and they were drinking heavily. Three guys and a gal. The gal was toast and was actually lap-dancing one of the guys... I assume her boyfriend.
On the run when Smith broke the record, the crowd went wild and there was a standing ovation. The girl really had no clue as to what was going on. I remember the video screens doing a tribute and the girl commented... "Oh look, some one from our team did something great... AWESOME"...
TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
She probably still doesn't know the magnitude of what she saw... lol
Now that changes everything. In fairness, she was pretty cute and threw down a pretty good lapdance... so there's that along with the record!

it was a great moment... tarnished by the team failing to rise to the moment, and losing a game they should have won easily.
Wow, 14 years ago. Time sure does fly. I was only 11 at the time
Today is me and my wife's 15th wedding anniversary . On our first one we were at Texas Stadium watching Emmitt Smith break that record. My wife was skeptical of a trip to Dallas to watch a football game on our very first anniversary. I told her that I loved her and that although we'd been married a year, I had lifelong relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. It didn't go over well at the time, but once she saw how happy I was to be there and what it meant to me, she was cool with it!
