Never forget our last few years. I'm one of Folk's folk now.

It's nice to have a kicker that doesn't make headlines. He quietly goes out, kicks the FG/XP and goes back to the sideline. No talk of Vandershank missing, no talk of Cortez missing. It's nice.

It's a good thing Cortez was wearing Depends during that game.

His field goals look better than his extra points IMO. His extra points were all hooking to his left, but his field goals were straight up the middle. Nice problem to have . :)

Thing that impressed me most about his field goals was his boot off that gravel. I thought for sure the rookie kicker in his second regular season game would buckle with that stuff under him, but it couldn't have been straighter.

Sure, we have to wait until he's in a pressure-cooker situation before we make those kinds of determinations about his level under duress, but lets face facts here. The kid is as cool as a cucumber. He's missed like a handful of kicks total since the Cowboys brought him in, including practice.

I don't recall Folk missing any PAT or FG during the preseason games nor so far in the regular season. He might have missed a FG in TC competing against Gramatica but I'm not sure of that. It might have been Gramatica who missed the FG and not Folk.

I know he's missed three or four in practice, but I figure it's probably more than that just based on sheer number of repetitions.

Either way, he hasn't missed in a game yet. That's all that counts.

What was the deal with his kickoffs? Some went to the endzone, others were duds. Was it because of the field and dirt? Were they worried about the Fins breaking one? He did look solid again kicking fg's.

I think they were asking him to lay them up short and high, so as to not give Ginn a chance to get steam up. I don't know why, since Ginn hasn't shown anything to date that inspires fear, but they had their reasons, I guess.

I like that one that barely rolled into the endzone. A touchbacks a touchback. We haven't seen many of those in a while.

I remember atleast one of those kickoffs, it looked to me like his plant leg slid when he went to kick it.

I thought Folk did a great job yesterday. I was concerned with his FG attempts that he was having to kick from the baseball infield area but he was once again perfect on the day.

I'm very impressed with Folk and yes, I do believe we have found out kicker, finally. :)
