Bear, that should have been "I'll settle for" list. Why would anyone "wish" for any of those players?

because there are a couple solid pick ups on that list? Signing FA isn't about getting the biggest names or spending the most money, it's about filling holes or finding ways to get the most out of your money. That way you're not forced to draft out of pure need and can take the best player still on the board.
