David

I've seen it before but thanks for posting it. I had forgotten all about it.

What happen to JJ? Man. I always thought it was BP holding him back but even last year he couldnt find a hole to save is life.

Emmitt? Well nothing needs to be said. Same with TD.

MBIII? He his a beast. I dont care what anyone says. He can handle 18-20 carries a game. I cant prove but I hope he gets the chance to. He avg right at 13 this year. No reason he couldnt handle another 6-8 a game.

JJ- too much weight up top destroyed his balance; I think he lost some quickness as well. Then BP got inside his head and with an introvert like JJ he screwed him up. You got to have a certain kind of personality to cope with BP and I think BP did not figure that out untill the damage was done.

This vid just begs the question;

What happened with Julious Jones; his vision, quickness and speed? It all went away whe BP left?

hmmm.

Great video though. Thanks

I think you're absolutely correct.

We've had SO many threads on what happened to JJ, but you have summed it up very well, IMO.

The saddest thing of all was if JJ had NOT bulked up and if BP had just left him alone we might have had a really good back. What he showed in those 8 games was the whole package and his ability was clear. I really hope he can come back somewhat in Seattle; but I doubt it. I think he is too far gone.

Nothing happened to Julius. He is what he's always been. A mediocre back with decent physicaly skills, no vision, no patience, and poor balance who has enough natural ability to knock one out of the park every once in a while when he's facing a horrible run defense and his blocking is perfect. It's just about a travesty that he got equal time in the video with Dorsett, Smith and even Barber, lol.

Nice Smith highlights. I love watching those, seeing the power and vision and patience he displayed, even when the blocking wasn't perfect. We had a couple greats on those lines. LA and Big E were phenomenal, but only played with each other for two years or so? One of which Big E had his accident in? My memory is a little fuzzy. Regardless, Emmitt made those linemen's careers. Before he came around, as Big Nate ( I think) so elegantly put it, they were "just a bunch of fat guys." Emmitt was a once in a lifetime talent. It's just a shame people believe that nonsense about him being a product of his offensive line.

Julius logged some serious screen time. I wonder why Hambrick was left out. And forgetting Lincoln Coleman is an all time travesty.

Wow.. Some thoughts:

1. I forgot just how fast and quick Dorsett was.
2. Walker was so big for being so fast..
3. Emmit was alot faster than people give him credit. He can really hit the whole quickly..
4. Julius has some nice moves and cuts, but doesn't fit in.
5. Barber is truly a beast of a back. I love how he runs with such attitude and determination.

as much as people like to say TD was amazingly fast, i dont think so. he had very good speed, but not a true burner in a sense but you look at the film you can see why he was so good. he vision was amazing. the cuts he made had a purpose cause he knew where all the defenders were positioned. very little motion was wasted with his cuts. what a great back, not just a "burner".

they put Julius Jones in the vid but no Duane Thomas or Don Perkins?

Julius had some good games for Dallas, but i wouldnt include him on a video like this.

Emotions run the gammut watching that video, but most of all I'm sad that "that Julius" disappeared.
