One thing I like that Jerry is doing

One thing that I like that Jerry is doing is him being more proactive with the DC position. I like that he's interviewing coaches, and I like that there's a lot of good options. Ohr, Leonhard (I'd love this), Morris (bad HC, but a damn good DC), Rex Ryan (out of the coaching game for a while, but he's good at defences), Whitecotton, and others? I'm curious who we hire because I think that will be a signal of where we are going next. I hope that we will stay proactive and have an actual cohesive plan. I happen to think this team isn't as far from being competitive as it looks. I like what we've been building on the dt and nt spots. I love our offense (hopefully we can get our red zone efficiency better).

I think if we can get our defence sorted and get Aubrey back on track, this team can compete in 2026. I don't think it'll be SB caliber, but this is a big offseason that, if done correctly, can build us towards a great future. Or at least, I hope so.

It appears that Jerry is allowing Schottenheimer to hire the new defensive coordinator, and I like this. Looking at all the candidates interviewed so far, I like Jim Leonhard, he feels like the logical choice to me. I look for Schottenheimer to hire Leonhard a hands-on teacher as a defensive coordinator, as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

I hope that is the case. Leonhard would be amazing for us.
 
So....what you're trying to tell us is that JJ is doing what every other GM in the league would do?

Sorry, But I'm not about to give JJ props for giving us the appearance that he's doing what he is suppose to do.

The ONE area that I think Schotty could be better from what I saw is red zone efficiency. If he gets that right, I think this offense should be nearly unbeatable. My least favourite would probably be Whitecotton, but our dline was actually our best unit (imo) on defence.

Voch made a comment yesterdaI found interesting. He said Schotty wanted Leonhard last season but Jerry and Syephen wanted more experience there, as a way of balancing out Shottys own inexperience.
