Trai Turner was picked after #78.

My top pet cat, Billy Turner was gone before #78.

Phillip Gaines was also gone.

Tre Mason was gone.

Darn 49ers took Brandon Thomas at the end of the 3rd round. I really liked that player, but the 3rd is really early for a guy that can't play in 2014.

They seem so loaded that they are looking further and further out.
They already have extra picks next year too and can redshirt Thomas.
I think they drafted 4 others today that will all help them. Insane

The Skins drafted Spencer Long with pick #78. He was probably rated as a 3rd or 4th if completely healthy, but was rated much lower because he is injured.

They have so many picks they can red shirt him this year. Imagine what he could be like in '15 after a whole year in their system.

9ers now have their future oc and og, they manouvere as well as anyone in recent history

Boy you got that right.....They completely take over the draft year after year.

but the one thing I find kind of interesting is what they do w/ the picks once they get them. I'm not really impressed w/ the people that are picking. Seems to me they should be getting more bang for the buck.

Yeah, the 49ers depress me. It's just a matter of time until they win a Super Bowl.

For me the only guys taken after #78 I really wanted thus far are Jackson, Turner, Brooks and maybe Moncrief. Fortunately Martin kind of mitigates the potential loss of either guard so it isn't as bad as it could be. However I expect Telvin Smith, Caraun Reid and Andre Williams to all be gone by the next pick as well and Smith particularly is very much needed in this defense.

This is a pattern you could first spot with Jimmy. College coaches coming out and knowing the talent there do better at getting it for the first 4 years or so; then start to fade as their contacts and knowledge dry up. It is no coincidence that Carrol and Harbaugh are doing well at this time.

You hate trading with a division foe just because you think you are helping them out, but their pick of Edwards and Long really don't bother me at all. I like many others think Edwards really doesn't have a true spot and will be a tweener and Long likely doesn't help this year. For a team with no first rounder and a lot of holes, I am not sure drafting for the future was the right idea.

After seeing their picks I wasn't mad at them for trading up at all. The Skins two picks shouldn't amount to Demarcus Lawrence.
