I don't believe a single NFL rules exists that would prevent it.

If the move was made to protect the player, and not because they plan to play him, I doubt his practice routine changes at all.

Ok. I guess practice players get same reps against 1st team and game planning for games as active 53.

Broadus said today they almost deactivated Melton last week. Like I said a couple weeks ago, it's serious up in here now. I love the vibe of this team right now.

We have no pass rush. Boatwright is a pass rushing DE. It's hard to see this as purely a move to protect a player.

Well sure. Routine on practice squad vs the 53. Sure some of his routine might be different.

Ya, I forgot you work on the coaching staff and have such inside knowledge on practice reps.

I'm really not sure what we are arguing about.

we have three games left in the regular season. About a month ago, we had two remaining practice days with pads for the year. We probably have one or zero of them left now.

If you get some comfort in the notion that Boatright is going to get a bunch of reps vs #1's, and that possibility excites, you, don't let me interfere!
