the good:

1) we have good QB play from two guys, and if something did happen to Bledsoe the season wouldnt necessarily be over

2) run defense looks better than past couple seasons

3) I see absolutely no reason to be concerned with the WR position, incl depth

4) we have good depth on defense

areas of concern:

1) pass rush was decent last week, almost non-existant tonight

2) special teams look ho-hum, and prized kicker signing is having a terrible camp and is now hurt

getting close to panic time:

1) this OL stinks, period. they cant run block a lick...guys shoot into the backfield untouched on almost every running play...Bill Parcells is going to regret not getting a proven OL coach

the problem isnt the RB's folks...

if I were Jones, Parcells and Ireland I'd be on the horn asap looking for help on the OL

With a healthy Crayton, I agree about the WR's. Pass rush will be ok I think. It's preseason.

Agreed. Vandy is worrying me some, plus he's injured.

Pass blocking looks pretty good, but we can't create much space for the RB's. They did seem to do OK before Flo went out tonight.

The effective run blocking, or lack thereof...is what concerns me the most at this point.

Even when Flo was in for the first drive, JJ had to make some nice moves in the backfield to avoid tackles for loss.

This is basically why I keep biting my tongue whenever I read the Julius Jones criticisms.

Whether the OL can pick up the blitz is also very suspect

yep...JJ aint the problem

very bad run blocking and an apparent flawed run game design are...they need to ditch the slow developing run plays because almost all of them result in no gains or loss of yards...

That's definitely something which Jim Johnson and Philly will try to exploit to its fullest.

Don't forget Greg Williams either, though DC's front seven isn't as talented Williams has a knack of disguising blitzes pretty well.

Have to disagree here. Yes, the run blocking as looked poor, but the pass blocking looked very sharp. Drew had all day to throw the ball in the first quarter.

Now, after Flozell goes out of the game things started to degrade. Also, Kosier is a Bust (note the capital "B"), he looks like a swinging door. He almost got Bledsoe killed ou there.

... the RBS doing a heck of a job picking up defensive players in the passing game.

... seeing Suisham and Fredrickson hitting their FGs.

Is it possible that we may use Vandy for short FGs and give the kickoff duties and long shot FGs to whoever wins the battle between Shawn and Tyler?

I would like to see Romo get the first half of the third game with the first teamers including T.O. I know that won't happen, but I would like to see what this guy has when he plays against the first teamers of the opposing team on the most important game in preseason - the third game.

I know BP wants his starters to get in sync, especially with T.O and Crayton hobbled now, but it would be nice to get a truer evaluation of Romo at this point in time. God, could you imagine how some posters and the media would run to left field with this one?

I'm not sure our o-line is up to the standards of the rest of the team. Is there a doubt where the Achilles Heel is?

I missed part of the game. Do we have the makings of a good return squad?

going off what we've seen in two preseason games, I'd say its average at best right now

Exactly ....we need OL help not WR help! I believe JJ understands that after his positive comments about our WR's
