With Hoyer gone, and with our bye week, have to think Jerry might get a call from Chicago GM tonight or first thing tomorrow morning. Even if they don't anticipate Romo being available for PHI, sounds like CLE is in the plan, and surely we can make do with Showers as the back-up for one game in exchange for a Bears draft pick.... no?

at 1-6, with no chance at the playoffs, why would the Bears give up anything for Mark Sanchez? without knowing the offense and with only 9 games left he wouldn't be worth a 7th to them.

Quite honestly, unless a team like the Bears made us an offer we couldn't refuse, I keep Sanchez for insurance. For a 3rd QB, you can't do much better in terms of starting experience and ability (relatively speaking).

I'm absolutely with you. If the Bears are that desperate for him, Yes. It's not going to happen but I just can't look at him and not think about the butt fumble and The Eagles.

Sanchez seems really happy being the clipboard guy and brings a lot of experience. He's more like a coaching intern right now so I say keep him. He could be helping Linehan more than we know.

Both Sanchez and, yes, Kellen Moore have been helping out Dak Prescott. Tony Romo has, too, but understandably has been focusing on his injury rehab. Prescott has said Sanchez has given him lots of in-game pointers along with Romo.

And in an article I read, Kellen Moore watches game film of upcoming opponents ahead of time and offers Dak some help in that area. Moore wants a future in coaching and it sounds like he's getting a head start.
