As Cowboys fans, we're always looking for the best way to follow our team. Some colleagues and I would like to provide a better way. To do so, we need opinions of true, hardcore fans. What would you guys like to see from a publication/Web site combination sort of like the Ranch Report, but hopefully better with your input? Be creative, whatever you as a fan would want. I appreciate all input.

Thanks.

Fly every fan on this MB from around the globe to a pre-season game (2 seats) with all-access passes, provide a smogasbord(sp?) tailgate, hotel accomodations for all, as well as transportation to and from the game. :)

I would give up my seats to a Cowboys buddy of mine.

Commanders provide good access to the team. Interviews, and stories, updated and provided often.

What I would love to see is a daily interview with a player or a coach giving a status report of the team and its progress. A different player or coach every day just talking to their fans about where they are, where they are going, who is doing what, what are the personailties like, that sort of thing. Just a rap session.

Just my thoughts.

Some nice bios of players. Keep an up to date roster. Click on a player. Nice bio, home town, high school, college and NFL stats, photo and video clips from HS, college and NFL. Coaches names from HS, & college, who knows a players HS coach may now be in the NFL. Maybe some family history too. How they came up from the ranks, hard life, good life, rich or poor. Maybe the player can write a short story of an experience that may have changed their life or attitude, or just a funny thing that happened.

I like the Q and A with players and reporters.
It doesn't need to be just Cowboy beat writers either.
How about some national media people to give an opinion on what they think of the Cowboys.
When training camp start's I like reading about the practices and what went on. I don't need to know formations or schemes but I have read reports on training camp practices that were written in the form of what a scout would write. It talks about the good and bad of players performances.
During training camp that kind of info is like gold.
I like the bio's on players also.
I like reading about what makes these players tick.
Photos and some video clips.
Both of players and cheerleaders:eek: !
If someone could find a way to make this time of year more enjoyable for die-hard NFL football fans they would make a killing.
Another thing would be to have interviews with the past Cowboy greats and get thier views of the team and get them to tell some of those great stories of years past.
This team has such a rich history to draw from.
One last thing...I have been to two Steeler games(Tempe and Houston) and thier traveling fan base is amazing. If the Cowboys could get something like that it would be awesome. Not saying I could afford it, but for those who could, it would be really neat to do and participate in. They are organized and very well represented no matter where they play.

Updated inside information on each player. No glossy feel good stuff either. Real information only. For example, we get no news from BP (damn mediots) this offseason. It's been all TO all the time with almost every question concerning him. What about all our draft picks? What about the players who were hurt last year? What about the other free agents? What about last years excellent rookie class? The more information the better.

Features on former players are always big with me. As an older Cowboy fan, the players from the late 60's and 70's were my heros I grew up with. What are they doing now?

There is my .02 worth.

Spare us the BS rumors that some sites call inside info!!! any info on practice or videos of practice (one on one drills) would be awesome!!!

Less negative dumbed down reporting. For example excessive articles about every cocked eyebrow TO gives during the course of the season or killing us with G.Ellis isn't happy every 10 seconds. Boring and depressing.

But more human interest and rags to riches stories.

Report the negative but focus on the positive.

I don't watch football to be miserable and agitated all the time. There's nothing wrong with keeping the mood upbeat when all that's on the line is a football game. There are plenty of positive slants that can be written about any team in the league at any given time, it's just the media as a whole choose to ignore that fact and beat us down with the same crap throughout an entire season.
