The only way I thought Dallas might pull the trigger on McCaffery at 28 is when I thought T Williams was going to leave and you could convert McCaffery to WR. Play him at WR, let him play in the backfield a little and in the kicking game.

With Dallas not needing a #2 WR anymore, there isn't a chance in hell they could justify taking another RB in the first a year after taking Elliott.

Won't happen.

I love his potential though as a WR/RB/KR and overall match-up nightmare.

So your defense could use upgrades at a half dozen positions and you want to spend a first round pick on a backup player?
Lol Watch how good he is. 1st of all he is probably off the board when 28 comes up, but if he is on the board you have to consider him.

I think he's good, I'm not arguing that. My argument is team fit matters and we wouldn't utilize him enough to justify the pick.

He's a glorified Reggie Bush. Dynamic player, but unless you put him in pass patterns, he won't be a full-time back for you. He just doesn't have the build for the NFL. But a team like the Patriots would use him as a bona fide weapon.

He fits every team in the NFL. They can not cover him out of the backfield. That equals first downs and touchdowns and wins.
