I realize this isn't specifically related to the team, but i'm just curious what everyone's opinions are who listen to the Lunch Break on DC.com

living in AZ i listen to anything Cowboys related that i can, which includes the two shows on DC.com the "lunch break" and "talking cowboys".

however i find myself getting more upset and frustrated every time i listen to the lunch break guys b/c 85% of the time they seem completely clueless.

and i realize the job of the media isn't to be "homer", but these guys work for the team, and i constantly hear them bashing the team.

the answers they give to listener questions are so childish and most of the time they morph the conversation into something else stupid.

today's show had a question regarding whether or not Choice would be better as a starter if Barber can't go and use Felix as change of pace, and the answers just went off on how Choice isn't that great, there's a reason he's 3rd string, Julius could play well if he didn't have to play until the end of the season, i don't know if Choice is better than Hambrick.....:bang2::bang2:

maybe i'm just too big of an optimist when it comes to the team, but these guys just seem so pessimistic when talking about the team (led by the king pessimist Nick Eatman) that you could find yourself feeling worse when the shows over.

it may just be me, but i think especially the programs that are part of the teams official website should at least give opinions equally on both sides of the fence instead of becoming baby ESPN.

i could be alone on my opinions but i wanted to share them and vent.

I have a totally different opinion from yours and I love the show. Those guys are more of realists than Mickey and Rob, and I say that being one of the more optimisitic posters on this board.

Nick Eatman is more pessimistic this season but in the past he's not been that way. He said we were the best team in the league after the GreenBay game last year. He consistently said we were better than the Giants around the playoff game last year.

I try to listen to the show every day except on fantasy fridays. They feed off each other very well. There's some gossipy material on there. They are relaxed and do the show in more of a college dorm conversation feeling.

I can't stand the chick though because she can't stand Romo:eek::

i totally respect your opinion, and like i said i didn't expect everyone to agree with me.

i don't totally despise the whole show, but the reason it frustrates me is partially b/c of part of what you said, that they mesh well together, b/c Eatman is really the main naysayer, and he seems to change the opinion of the others.

i don't really remember Nick ever being very positive, he's always seemed to be the one that finds the negative side. it seems like if things are going well he's bearable, but as soon as one thing goes bad he rides that to the ground.

i agree that the format in how they talk is good, however i still think they should approach it from both sides.

my thing still is that there is too much negativity.

i'm listening to the replay of Talkin Cowboys from today, and here's the main difference.

i brought up the Choice issue they talked about on the lunch break, and they mentioned him on talkin cowboys.

the lunch break point you get is this: well if Marion can't play then you have Felix who you always think is gonna get hurt, and Choice who looked good against tired defenses in December but what can he really do he may be just another Hambrick....if you needed to trade anyone on this team it should be Choice...blah blah blah

on talkin cowboys you get this: well if Marion can't play at least you have a safety net with Felix and Choice, choice proved that he can play in this league....people who said to trade Choice are nuts b/c he's a value for his ability, and he's huge in the locker room.

you wouldn't even think it's the same city talking about this issue.

now do i think talkin cowboys is too much to the positive? yes slightly.

i think they both need to approach middle ground. i just think that constantly being negative is ridiculous and annoying. there is such thing as a light at the end of the tunnel

I love the Lunch Break show and they are far more level headed than any other media outlet covering the Cowboys.

The girl on the show (Dia) knows very little about football and I don't know why she is on.

On yesterday's show, Nick was the one who was the least negative about Romo.
