Why would Orton want to leave Dallas to hold a clipboard in Buffalo?

I remember him saying only good things- in fact, speaking in amazement about Romo and his ability. Does anyone think he felt he should have been starting? Why leave here and go to Buffalo to hold a clipboard again?

Thoughts?

I think he just didn't want to do OTA's.

The article I just read from the DMN said he sold his house in Dallas after last season. Personality issues I bet. He was planning on being gone since the season was over.

Sullivan said last year during training camp on some days he was showered and gone before some of the players even left the field.

I think he regretted taking a back-up job after getting to start game 16 last year and wanted one more shot to be "the man".
He should easily surpass Manuel, as he sucks.

I watched one of the Bills pre season games and he was really bad.

He knew he'd never be anything more than a clipboard holder, UNLESS Romo got injured. He has a better chance becoming a Starter in Buffalo, if EJ Manuel struggles.

This.

The answer is pretty simple if you think about it.

Well, and don't add your own agenda/snark. (Is that snark on my part? I can never tell)

He didn't have to workout. But I think he was really waffling. Wouldn't be surprised to see him retire mid season in Buffalo.

As others said I think he wanted to play. Bills and Rams are probably the two most likely places that could happen off the top of my head.

In my opinion I think Orton has had enough of the NFL in sense of its grind. This guy started in Chicago and Denver for a while and lost both gigs. I think he knows his place and will gladly hold a clip board for a million a season. Also I think he did not like the way Dallas is manage. I do not have any proof just a feel. Orton is not the only player who tried to find his WAY OUT of Dallas, so this tell me something. Also numerous players have left and talk down on this organization. Most with not due the fact it's a public image deal but this organization cares about one ideal. Tony Romo is the greatest player ever and they would be nothin without him. But we really have not been anywhere. We have sent a lot of players and coaches release due to a certain player not owning his keep when it's time. That is my 2 cents, take it how you like.

yeah, this is why they should have fined his backside for not showing up and re-couped some of the money that he got...he lost interest in playing for dallas, and quite frankly, dallas lost interest in him....
...good luck sitting in frigid buffalo on sundays holding that clipboard....

For one he wants to be a starter for the NY Giants. He is moving closer to his goal for next season. He knows that Eli will be gone next season and he will at least be closer to take over the starting role as the giants QB.
