Would be a great draft, except we don't have a fourth. That is one reason there is so much talk of moving down. We need to get additional picks.

If we could trade down in 1 and draft Carpenter and add a #4 in the process that draft would be great.

i'm from the midwest and I have two things i'd change from your mock. first Bobby Carpenter is better then Greenway. Carpenter is a mean SOB and I'd imagine could play OLB and ILB. Second is, I'm an Illinois fan and there isn't anyway you could convince me to pick Kendrick Jones. He has bad hands and wasn't even the best WR on a god awful football team.

First three rounds are shot through with wishful thinking..

I wish Greenway would fall so..
I wish Gilles will fall so..
I wish Watykins will be there so..

I just do not understand the hype around Chad Greenway.

I really hope we do not draft him. I watched any Iowa game that was on just for the purpose to watch Greenway and see why he is so highly regarded. I did not really watch the game, just watched him. I was totally not impressed. He looked slow to the ball carrier, was blocked consistently, did not get to the QB when rushing. Yhea he would make a tackle here and there, but I just do not get it. He is not even worth a first day pick IMO.

Chad Greenway = My guarantee bust prediction for this draft.

I'm with you...want nothing to do with him at all...I thought he was overrated alot anyway, but especially now after seeing how wretched he was at the combine

I think he reminds me of a sh*** Derrick Johnson. Lots of tackles, but more do to speed than anything else. WOn't take on blockers, and he takes a little while to reach top speed.

Most people think DJ had a pretty good Rookie season.

I only saw CG a few times, but thought he looked pretty good. He did look like more of a 4-3 Will though, so there's other LB's that would fit our needs better.

Don't care for Greenway, but if Parcells does then I'm in.
No way Gilles falls to the 49th pick.
Watkins is an excellent pick.
The rest are solid.

1. Rather have Carpenter, Lawson or Wimbley.
2. Jean-Gilles will be gone before #49.
3. Watkins or Bullocks would be a great pick.
4. We don't have a 4, and even if we did, Whitworth would be long gone.
5. Don't know much about Peko, but he has the size.
6. I'd LOVE to get Roach in the 6th.
7. Good as any, I guess.

I'll offer the following:

Trade down 7-10 spots for another 3.

1. Carpenter, Wimbley or Lawson (OLB)
2. Davin Joseph (OG)
3. Pat Watkins (FS)
3. Charlie Whitehurst (QB)
5. Titus Adams (NT)
6. Fred Roach (ILB)
7. Kurt Smith (kickoff artist)

I'm high on different players but I'm tracking with your thought process.

Right. He was solid, but not a difference maker, which is why they let Fujita go. He can tackle sidelin to sideline, but I rarely see him push anyone backwards, or make plays in the backfield.

Id pass on Greenway, Cutler did more reps then this man at the Combines. Thats just plain horrible. Give me Carpenter, Wimbley or Lawson.

He's a rookie LB that started all year. He recorded 95 tackles, 79 solo with 2 sacks on the year. I don't know what more you could ask but I guess maybe Odell Thurman has a better year with 98 tackles, 64 solo and 1.5 sacks.

Once again, Gilles will not fall to the 49th pick. He will either be gone in the 1st, or the early second. So you'd have to trade up to get him.

Jean-Giles will not be there when we pick 2nd round, unless we get a trade similar to the one the Bills gave us a couple years ago - I'm not sure how happy we'd all be with trading completely out of the first again though.
I'd love ours to be:
1. Bobby Carpenter
2. Ko Simpson
3. Roger McIntosh or Spencer Havner.
