I keep hearing the media talking about how teams lost after playing Seattle because the Seahawks are so physical. However, I never hear mention about how teams do after playing Dallas, so i looked it up.

San Francisco - Lost to Chicago

Tenn – Lost to Cincy

Rams – Lost to Philly

Saints - Beat Tampa

Texans - Lost to Steelers

Seattle - Lost to the Rams

Giants - Lost to the Colts

Commanders - Lost to Vikes

Arizona - Won against Rams

Jacksonville - Lost to Colts

Giants - Lost to Jacksonville

Philly - Lost to Seattle

Chicago - Lost to Saints

Philly - Lost to Washington

Indy - ?

So, out of every Dallas opponent (excluding Indy who hasn't played yet) only the Saints (who barely beat a terrible Tampa team) and Arizona have won their game following Dallas.

The other 12 out of 14 teams lost after playing Dallas.

What that means is up for interpretation. I just wanted to see what it was since they keep saying it about Seattle.

So, if people want to say Seattle opponents lost the following week from being worn out playing the Seahawks... then I'd think that to say the same thing about the Cowboys opponents would be fair.

Nothing Earth shattering, but interesting nonetheless. Really just an observation.

I don't buy these kind of stats...maybe I'm being naive..I will agree that that is possible...but I think it's more coincidence than anything else

One season could be an anomaly. Wait until next year and see if the trend remains the same.

I don't either.

If they asked the athletes and the athletes confirmed this, then yeah.

Wait, Wade Phillips's 2009 team was laid to rest as merit left by Bill Parcells.

This team is at that plateau, but belonging to the work of the current Jason Garrett...and that is change.

Well one thing it might point to is Dallas beat them up and took the wind out of their sails at both lines.

I find it interesting.
New Orleans 37, Tampa 31 in Overtime
NO had to go to overtime to beat a 2 win team.

AZ 31, St. Louis 14
That's an 11 win team against a 6 win team.

It means teams are physically beat up after playing dallas. Teams are better rested rather than when they took a pounding one week prior.

as always there are multiple variables, but lets not gloss over the third easiest schedule in the league which means these teams are likely to lose on any given weekend,,,

Yeah I was going to come in here and say that regarding the Saints. They had to go to overtime to beat them.

It can be in large part due to the fact they put so much energy into our game and treat it like its a SB. When Philly beat us they ate the Turkey and got fat. They probably ordered Turkey Bowl rings after the win.

Quality of subsequent opponent would probably be the dominant variable in this data set.

I don't think that it is because we are so physical, but because we are Americas Team. Every team plays there best against us because they know America is watching. This year we have been able to take on all comers and beat them at their best. Although, I don't think we got to see the real Colts.

I don't believe 12 out of 14 is a coincidence or happenstance. I also don't think it's too small of a sample size to draw a conclusion.

We have the best power run game in the league. We've also used it more than anyone else. We're beating teams up and it's showing the following week. These games aren't played by robots.
