Sorry... but Romo did that in his 1st career start on the road. In fact, he was a gamewinning FG away from winning his FIRST 6 starts of his career. Four of those on the road.
How soon they forget. This is what kills me. When you look at the amount of starts he has had, then look at:
His record
His 4th quarter comebacks
His performances in numerous important/big games
His 2 Pro Bowls in less than 2 seasons as a starter
The fact that he's led his team to the playoffs in each of his 2 years as a starter
The fact that he has led his team to a division crown in his 2nd year as a starter
The fact that he already owns passing records on a team with 2 HOF QBs
I know people will say "But he hasn't won in the playoffs..."
That is true, but how many QBs have done what he has done in such a short period of time? Not many. He played well enough to win in both playoff wins. Was he flawless? No, but his supporting cast played a large part in those losses. Glenn fumbling in his own endzone, Crayton and Fasano's huge drops, mystery grounding calls etc...
The mighty Eli was 0-2 in his 1st two playoff appearances, QB god Peyton was AWFUL in his early playoff appearances, but it seems like that never happened.
Of course Romo needs to do more in the postseason, but I think fans have gotten a bit spoiled with him early on and critics have been more harsh with him that most other QBs in this league. I'll still take him over just about anyone in this league.
