This year is going to be awesome for us TO....Issac Bruce, Lavar Arrington.....SO many big name Fa's in positions we need. I can't wait till everyone gets released so we can see what the best options are.

He came across fairly intelligent to me when he was a judge on the Sportscenter reality game show.

He is, however, a little overrated but when he is granted permission to do what he does best... he does what he does best.

He's an enigma. He does seem intelligent when he speaks but his behaviour on and off the field is a little clueless. Not thug clueless; more like eccentric clueless. Like the little old lady who won't put her money in the bank or the little old man who thinks he's going to win the Ed McMahon sweepstakes because he receives an envelope in the mail that says "YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE WON 1 MILLION DOLLARS!"

I'd take Lavar as long as he only does one thing rush the passer.....nothing else....If he has any other responsibility he has shown he'll make the wrong one. Point him at the qb and say GET HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lavar is too much of a free lance player, he needs to play within a defensive system not go out on his own

That's why I said only if his only responsibility is to go after the qb. I wouldn't want him for anything else. No coverage....no playing the run.....there is the qb go get him.....that's it nothing else

In other words No, there is more to playing defense than to go after the QB. Defensive players have assignments and when guys start doing their own thing they create a breakdown in the defense.

Merriman was a rookie last year and improved through out the season as he began to understand what his job was within their defense. Arrington is not that great to begin with he had 0 sacks last season and you want to pay money for that?

When I made the orginal post I didn't mean we had to get those guys, I was just saying that I can't wait to see what other big name FA's are released so we can fill in our holes with players we feel are best suited for the team. WE are gonna have the money this year to make a big splash in FA. That is what I am excited about.......and I would like TO.

No to Bruce. We have too much age at the position as is. I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank at this point.
