LOLLLLL!

Next time you have absolutely nothing of substance to back up your claims, try something like this instead...

"Jerry's a doodee head! Everything's his fault!"

And you keep your head in the sand and keep reaching for the stars!

Ignorance really must be bliss...

How else would you explain two very highly paid players getting exactly what they want?

Just curious how you describe this trend.

Well gee, I suppose in the face of such overwhelming evidence it MUST be Jerry Jones' fault!!! Somehow! Someway!

They wanted to keep their money but not have to play for it. Pretty simple.

Anyone blaming Jerry is only doing so because they don't like him and he's the easiest target there is. There's nothing reasonable or logical about it.

Kyle was a highly paid player? He took up 2.4% of our cap. A cap we sit 9.5M dollars under.

Do you ever tire of being wrong in the name of your jihad?

And yet you were just touting the 3 million bucks and cap relief?

Which is it?

Or do you staunch defenders actually think you get to have it both ways?

What's all this?

Offer up something of substance to back up your silly claims or use the quote I provided for you above. It's perfect for people like you.

In case you missed it...

"Jerry's a doodee head! Everything's his fault!"

What's the other explanation?!?!?

If Jerry Jones runs the show, he decides on who gets cut.

"They wanted to keep their money but not have to play for it. Pretty simple."

Yeah, and Jerry Jones allowed it to happen.

Also, pretty simple.

And you have the nerve to wonder why or express outrage over criticism?

I was curious about what the Bills fans thought about Orton and came across an interesting post

In his defense, he probably didn't like the atmosphere of working in Dallas. I knew a WR, Danny Coale, in who played in Dallas and was injured his first two years in the league and got cut. He went to Pittsburgh and he said Dallas treated him like garbage where Pittsburgh actually cared about him as a person. So maybe Orton felt kinda the same in Dallas and didn't feel like he owed anything to them.

I think you need to reread my posts.

But let me clarify. He was not a highly paid player on our team. The sticking point was whether he needed to pay back the team 3M of money already paid out to him. I couldn't care less about that 3M he already pocketed.
That's why it's called a signing bonus.

But if he doesn't want to be here are we really worried about a guy paid 2.4% of our cap?

Please try and keep up.

Allowed WHAT to happen? Be specific.

You're so close to realizing you have no point.

And a signing bonus is paid when a contract is signed.

Guaranteed money paid to a player for signing a deal ensuring his services.

When a team breaks that deal, the player gets to keep the money.

When a player breaks it, they OWE THE MONEY BACK.

YOU try and keep up.

You think that Orton was released without the crazy old man's approval?

Oh, so you wanted us to keep the backup QB who had zero interest in playing for us? LOL!

Jerry would've been slammed for that too, and you know it.

Better than having the inmates run the asylum.

"Hey guys! Old man Jones is handing out free bags of money! Just complain and get released and then sign somewhere else!"

LOL, ROFL, (insert dumb internet comment here)...

[quite]Jerry would've been slammed for that too, and you know it.[/quote]

Less for actually standing his ground and showing who's boss. But, then again, that's never been the old man's M.O., has it?

And that's why we stink when the head coach isn't a disciplinarian, like now.

Ahhhhh I get it, you wanted Jerry to handle it the way he handled the Ratliff situation last year.

Even though the entire premise of your guys' complaint was that this was a "pattern". LOL classic.

Yeah, Jerry never stands his ground!! That's his problem! (An entirely new problem that's never been brought up before until just now... but still!!)

Try to fix this mess because you messed up the quite function and turned it into an unreadable disaster.

The fact is that we did NOT want Jerry to handle it like it handled the Ratliff situation, where he also released a malcontent, getting no play, and no money in return.

Sorry that you seem to be terribly confused here.

I think you might have it backwards.

He was worried Tony would go down and he'd get thrown into the ultra bright limelight on a team where you do not win unless the QB is nearly perfect.

Better to go to nearly the opposite situation.
Ultra low limelight
Young QB who is not coming out unless injured
Very good defense
Chance to be a mentor

The situation can't be more different

It's a possible scenario, but I find it hard to believe Orton got all the way to the NFL with that kind of cajones.

Hahahahahaha. You're like a sad caricature of a Jerry hater at this point.

Here's the mental gymnastics you had to put yourself through to try and make sense of blaming Jerry for this:

1) Believing that Jay Ratliff was going to suit up for us eventually in 2013, even though he was already getting paid for the entire 2013 season and had already sat out for half the year before we finally cut him.

2) Believing that the best course of action this season would've been to keep a backup QB who had zero interest in playing for the Cowboys and paying him his entire 2014 salary to boot.

Surely, nothing bad could come of that!

(Psst... cutting Orton means he keeps his signing bonus but does NOT earn his 2014 salary from the Cowboys. So you're dead wrong about that move not helping us financially. Football 101.)

Do yourself a favor and stick to the quote you were provided.

"Jerry's a doodee head! Everything's his fault!"

He didn't want to play here. We could have fought with him tying up a roster spot for 3M dollars...or released him and kept churning the roster and keeping players we already have...never to think of him again.

You would have preferred the latter?

Frankly i'm glad we cut ties and moved on. It has an immaterial effect on our cap...it isn't a situation that happens a lot (besides Jay...who?)...and so people with an agenda are making it into a bigger deal than it is.

People like you.

I could be wrong, but I got the impression that after all these years he doesn't have the drive he once had.
Could be wrong.
