the years go by.

In the very near future, they will be a Dominate Unit.

Scary how much youth we have on that side of the ball.

Burnett 23 years old
Watkins 23 years old
Carp 23 years old
Canty 23 years old
Spears 23 years old
Hatcher 24 years old
Ware 24 years old
James 25 years old
Ratliff 25 years old
RW 26 years old
Ayodele 27 years old
Newman 28 years old

Parcells has set up our D for the next half dozen years at least.

Time to start spending those high draft picks on Oline and WR help.

We are long at the tooth and need youth and talent at those spots ASAP.

Rivera 34
Flozell 31
Owens 33
Glenn 32

One thing is for sure. Getting Romo as an undrafted FA is going to save us alot of time, money and high draft picks next year.

The future is bright my friends..... need shades. :shades:

Totally agree that our very young defense will get even better as they gain more experience and play together. We do have some age on our defense at CB (Agree Glenn's 33/34 & we extended him for 1 more year) and NT/DT Jason Ferguson (also about 33 whose in 2nd yr of his contract but plalying great for us this year). I think Ratliff's a good backup for him (but does Parcells really want Ratliff as Ferguson's successor rather then at DE) and who knows about Stanley (do think he'll improve big time after participation in our offseason conditioning program.

I do think we need add another good young CB. If either Newman or Henry goes down for significant length of time, have real qualms about relying on Glenn/Reeves/N.Jones. I think we might have the luxury of drafting BPA on our first day w/ particular attention to OL, CB & WRs. On other hand, I'd like to see lot more of Hurd/Austin/Rector before we use a first day pick. Late
7th round pick WR Marquis Colston of NO has had outstanding season and leading candidate for ROY honors until his season ending injury yesterday.

BTW: I'm also hoping we blow out somebody in a game so we can play some of our younger untested players. I'd like to see McQuistan out there for Adams, maybe Proctor for Riveria and also Austin/Hurd replacing TO & Glenn. Of course in case of blow out, don't want Tony in there so that means Bledsoe comes in which doesn't make me happy. It'd be difficult for Bledsoe plus we all know he's not coming back next year.

Well I like our young WR's: Sam Hurd, Pat Crayton.
I think we will turn the corner with a good number one WR for the future.
If we hit on McQuistan as our future Lt we are going to be deep as we were in the early 90's on both sides nof the ball.
