Michael Marot, of the Associated Press, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/19/nfl">Indianapolis Colts have re-signed PK Jose Cortez to a one-year, $585,000 contract. Cortez came to the Colts late last season as a kickoff specialist but is expected to compete with Dave Rayner for the placekicking job, assuming free agent PK Mike Vanderjagt is not re-signed. "I'm under the understanding that he'll be given the opportunity to win the job," said Cortez's agent, Bruce Tollner. "And they've kept a kickoff guy in the past and he's done that job before, too. But we're hoping he gets an opportunity to win both jobs."
