That's weird, I was just listening to the latest Lunch Break with Darren Woodson, and Eatman mentioned this. (Though I thought it was 2000... Maybe he left in '04.)

He said Warfield didn't do all that much, but he showed up on draft day and, being an Ohio State guy, convinced Jerry -- not the scouts so much, but Jerry -- that Michael Wiley would make a great WR. That's right -- not RB, but WR. So Jerry drafted him in the 5th round.

So that answers one thing I always wondered -- why Jerry always pumped up Wiley so much.

Ugh, now I know.

More ammo for the Jerry haters. :bang2:

Isn't Wade Phillips a consultant for the Cowboys?

He sure isn't a head coach.

I heard that, but didn't they also say that Calvin Hill was a consultant?

Or did I hear that wrong?

It's a little different since Hill is a consultant for off-field things, but yeah, Woodson did talk about him. He said the players even wondered exactly what he did, how much he got paid, etc.
