Another stellar Cowboy OL draft pick. The sad part is, it truley was a stellar pick compared to most of our OL picks in recent memory.

had he not hurt his knee it might have been a very different story.

and isn't peterman doing pretty well for the lions now? or is that rogers...

our o-line drafting issues aren't nearly as bad as fans make it out.

Al Johnson has been through Dallas, Arizona, Miami and now New England.

It still rankles that we risked losing Jason Witten to draft Johnson in the second round in '03.

That said, he'd have to be better than Corey Procter in the pivot, but has Johnson ever played guard? We want versatile back-ups.

Why would he have to be better, since he's gotten released by 3 teams in the last year?

Procter has been released by zero.

You could be right about that, but we will never know. I just know I will be a happy camper the next time Dallas "hits" when they draft OL!

Procter has been released by zero.

Proctor also didn't sign a big FA contract like Johnson did.

The better question might be why hasn't Corey Procter been released in the last year?

He can't be relied upon if forced to start.

That is a better question.

It also, in a round a bout way, reinforces my point.

of course, Johnson was only released twice - in Az he was injured and the Cards wanted to dump his contract - I expect the Pats liked what they saw from the kid from Hawaii they drafted

Ya see. This is where you just show you are a hater. Johnson started here for two full seasons. That's not "little or no contribution"

Peterman is a starter and Lehr started for many years in the league. Thats just off the top of my head.

Is Peterman now starting for the worst offensive line in the league really vindication for the Cowboys' poor track record for O-linemen?

that a team would pay 5 years 15 mill (5.5. guaranteed) suggests that he doesn't suck.
