One bad game and everyone is wanting to fire the o-line coach and replace everyone on the o-line, we are a good coached unit with elite talent. If we replace anybody it should be RW 11, he's horrible and can't get open.. enough with wasting my time about him, hes good as gone.

Seriously who could we replace Flo with that would match his talent? The only guy I sorta-kinda-maybe want gone is Columbo.. why you ask? Because Free plays better. Other than that we have proven game in and out that our o-line is great, besides one game.

Although I think Free will be solid for us, I don't think we can go into next season knowing he'll be our LT, so I think Flozell comes back for one more year. I think Kosier and Colombo are the players who need to be pushed for their starting jobs. If either of them don't like it, ship them off. Free looked better at RT and has more upside than Colombo. I would love if Brewster took over the LG spot, and a position battle between him and Kosier would be awesome. Gurode and Davis are solid and they are locks to return. Here's what I hope happens:

LT: Flozell Adams (however we draft a OT in the 1st round to replace Flozell next year)

LG: Robert Brewster

C: Andre Gurode

RG: Leonard Davis

RT: Doug Free

I think that line-up is realistic.I don't think they draft a LT in the 1st round though unless something just falls in their lap.

Yeah, I can see a situation if someone Dallas falls in love with at the combine, falling to them, that we may move up a few spots to get him. I think LT is the number one priority in this draft.

Even if that happens, I just dont see us putting a rookie out there next year.. Flo still has a season left but i think thats about it.

I agree I don't either. I still think we need to draft the top tackle available to us, and have him sit a year behind Flozell or incase Flozell gets hurt.

Good as gone? Oh this should be good. Please do explain. Don't forget the salary cap hit we take if we cut him and the guaranteed money some team would have to accept if he is traded.

Flo played well enough this year to be asked back, but I really fail to see how RW11 was the reason the OL couldn't block anyone in the Vikings game.

Think about Denver, both NYG games, GB, and the Vikings game. If Romo has decent protection in those games, we win 3 of the 5, easily. Romo was sacked by the Broncos and Packers 5 times, and 6 times by the Vikings. Your team has no chance to win getting its QB sacked like that.

I don't know what the answer is for the OL, but those guys are getting too old for the situation to go unaddressed again. The older the player, the more likely they are to be injured.

Even if we keep the same 5 starters, functional backups like Free must be found for the center and guard positions. Cory Proctor is just not the answer.

They will draft a starting caliber O Lineman early. You can bet on it. No later than round 2.

Well, actually it is the problem. This offense was what second in yards and middle of the pack as far as points. It couldn't get the one yard when necessary and it created drive killing penalties on a regular basis.

The line is the weakest part of the offense.

And if this type of jail-break game happened once, it's sure to happen again next season– probably several times because no doubt others are going to follow the same formula the Vikings used to bottle-up the offense.

The line hasn't been able to handle stunts all year.

The answer is spending a couple of early draft picks on the offensive line and potentially signing one big-time FA lineman.

If this team starts the same 5 guys next September, then I would rate this teams chance of having another playoff year as very low.

These 5 starters just aren't making it.

We need solid depth to groom and eventually replace our starters. Flo wears down at the end of the year and I doubt we get more than 10-12 full games from him next season so that's when a Top pick can come in and finish out the season for us. I'd also like to see Dre challenged at the center position by a 2nd or 3rd round pick...

I think Davis and Gurode are pretty much locks to be back in the starting line-up.I think the rest need to be challenged by some legitimate competition in camp.

Absolutely agree with that.

I'd like to see two new starters– two guys who are better than what we currently have.

I'd then be excited about next season.

If we lose tonight.. i could see a firing of wade tomorrow. Wade got handed a superbowl caliber team and a loss tonight would make the playoffs unlikely if the giants start winning. Go ahead and make JG the interim head coach for now... in hindsight letting Sean Payton go was the worst move Jerry let happen.

I say pretend that RW is hurt for the season, and do WHATEVER we would do without him.. Ogletree being that answer. You don't want to go to the playoffs with RW playing like this, get Ogletree in there and watch our offense. We'd have two UDFA starting with Crayton in the slot, RW is simply nothing.

105 yards sounds good but if you watched the game you know he played bad.

Ogletree will crack the starting lineup next year or be our #3 at worst. Here's why...

First off, Crayton will never be a #2 wr for us again unless injury we've seen him in that role.. we know his limit. Hes strictly a slot wr and a good one. But the upside on him is known.

A 1st? That's kinda high.. maybe last year. This year with this team that MOST i'd give up is a 2nd and RW.. and he better be willing to play at least 3 more years!

Theres no way the team we have right now even if we do get a wildcard spot will go anywhere in the playoffs. Our division is too tough and we had to go to overtime to beat KC.
Buehler as Linebacker :lmao2:

I guarantee you its not out of the realm of possibility, physically and from what I've read mentally speaking he's definitely got a LB mentality. Don't think for a minute Wade hasn't thought about having a kickoff specialist and LB man one roster spot.

Personally would love nothing more than Buehler to take Carps job, could be nothing but a good thing.

We need solid depth ON TOP OF at least one new starter.

Let's not deceive ourselves... This is not a SB winning offensive line.

Not with these five starters. There is one or two who are flat-out not good enough.

Flozell, Kosier and Colombo need to be pushed for their starting jobs. I honestly think Colombo is released with Free taking over and hopefully Brewster can beat out Kosier in camp. I think this is Flo's last year but we will draft his replacement in the 1st round.

I don't know that Columbo gets released in that sitaution.Depth is key if they plan on making a run.

To me the biggest failure on this team (outside of the ridiculous field-goal situation) was the O-line. One week, A-OK. The next week mediocrity. The following week outright failure.

The O-line is the weakest starting unit on this team as of right now. It's not SB quality.
