Our playoff chances -not as good as we thought?

Even if we lose a game, the Giants aren't going to beat Minnesota who will be playing for HFA in week 17. No way.
And that's the icing on the cake of last night's win. It screws the Giants twice.

We're going to win the division, so it doesn't matter what the Giants do.

:)

How sweet would it be after the last week of everyone burying this team to finish by winning three in a row, going 11-5, and taking the East for the second time in three years?

All we have to do is beat two teams we've already beaten this year.

Where are they playing the MN/NYG game? The Dome or the Meadowlands?

Eagles nor the Giants have a cakewalk. Giants could lose tomorrow especially with their secondary all banged up and fat Albert coming back. Then they have to beat the Panthers who are capable of winning, and the Vikes in Week 17. I don't see them winning out.

Eagles play niners/broncos/us. They could very well lose 2 of these games.

Winning out will clinch the division for us even if the Eagles don't lose until our game. We can lose to the skins or the Eagles and as long as the Giants lose one of their remaining games we get in.

One thing I have to think reading this thread... How is it that just a week or two ago, everyone was saying how the East had been so vastly overrated? Right now it looks like some pretty good team is going to be left out.

The only sweet thing is to do something in the playoffs.

Why is everyone giving a playoff spot to Green Bay?

They could still miss the playoffs. They lose out (which isn't out of the question) and they may be the team outside looking in.

Didn't think about that.

Seems like some people said the same thing about us this week...

That's true, but the Vikings are better than the Saints. The Vikings play good defense. Although, anything can happen.

Seems unlikely they lose out playing the Steelers, Arizona, and Seahawks.

I still think it's the best division in the NFL, for whatever that's worth haha

Denver will beat philly.......and Washington, will own Giants......mark my words

with our back against the wall...this team will not lose

We are a game and a half ahead of the giants.. If they win out we cannot lose... If we go 1-1 these last two games and they go 2-0 then yes we will be out of the playoffs. If they lose one they are done.

If Green Bay goes on a losing streak again, we could still be a wild card, I think. However, I like our chances now. We need to win out so we don't have to worry about anybody else.

Two teams that made the Super Bowl just this past season and are both still fighting for positioning.

Lose both of them and the nerves might just get in the way vs. Seattle.

Not very likely but not out of the question either.

If we win out, we won't be the wildcard...we'll be the NFC East Champions.

If we lose in Washington, win in Philly, and the giants win out, we'll have the same record and they have the tie breaker.

If we lose in Washington and win in Philly...and philly loses one other game, we'll be tied with Philly and have the tie breaker over them.

So many possibilities right now.

I still think 10-6 wins a wild card, but beating the Skins and the Eagles at home will give us the division title no matter what anyone else does...period.

Am I correct in saying that we split our last 2 and the Giants win out that we are out ?
:bang2:

Assuming we get no other help (like the Eagles losing), then if the Giants win out and we split the last 2..........we would be sitting home.

However, a byproduct of us winning last night is that it forces the Vikes to play their starters in week 17 against the Giants. It is no longer a gimmie for the G-men.

Basically it takes one Giant loss and one Cowboys win to clinch.
