Our Record If Romo Played All Year?

Just for fun and wishful thinking.

I say, given our issues in other areas, likely 8-5. Which we would probably be complaining about but it would give us a nice 2 game cushion with 3 games left.

Romo wins us the NO, Tampa, and at least one of the PHI/NYG/SEA games. We still lose to NE, CAR, GB, ATL for sure.

Why for sure Atlanta?

Their offense figured us out and was unstoppable in the 2nd half. Weeden actually put up 28 that game and Romo likely would have done the same or a few more, but IMO they flat out crushed us in the 2nd half on both sides of scrimmage

I don't believe in the Romo myth: 7-9

I don't know if we can realistically assume that Tony is ever going to make it through a full season again at this point.

But..9-4

Why?

But I think right now we would have 10 wins if Romo was back there.

9-4, possibly better. With Romo we win the Tampa, Philly, New York, Atlanta, and New Orleans games.

I would say that I agree with you that we could have beaten all of those teams with Romo but I also think that we probably would have lost one or more of those games as well. Just because Football is funny. I do think that we would have been undefeated in the NFC East this year with Tony starting. That I absolutely believe.

I'm not for sure we lose any (He wouldn't be rusty against Car if he was healthy the entire year), NE, ATL, and GB are different games with Romo. NO, TB, NYG, SEA are locks, Philly is iffy because Cassell actually did pretty well that game, so losing wasn't really a QB problem.

I think 8-5 is fair. And I think they would have a decent shot ending up 10-6 NFCE champs. But even with Romo, I dont think were even close to what Carolina is this year. Not even close to what Seattle is becoming. And not even close to AZ. I think we might be able to beat GB and whoever the wildcards are......But, it would take a few really special , ball boucning our way, fortunate wins, to get anywhere in playoffs.

Our defense kept us in games. Had we had Romo to help the offense, the D would have held up more than their share of the bargain. Our offense with horrible backup QB play wore this defense out.

Stop playing hypotehticals to pretend we're a good team. We're 1-8 without Romo and we average as an 8-8 team every year with Romo. One fluke good season and fans want to play the "what if" game to convince themselves we'd be the Patriots this past decade if we caught a few breaks. We suck. Deal with it.
