66 carries, 308 yards, 4TDs... 4.7 yards per carry... this is a bit more impressive when you consider that this past week's opponent had a very good run defense last year...

Just something that I think has gone a little under-noticed thus far... I think we have ourselves a pretty good offensive line that has a lot to do with the success of the team so far...

When they can all remember the snap count... :D

I thought that JJ ran hard man. In fact, the play that sticks out to me was one that was called back for a "hold" on Leonard Davis when JJ fought really hard for what would have been a first down. Incidentally, DAVIS pankacked that guy on that "hold" and was flagged for it. Didn't see it at all.

We have the luxury of two runningbacks that could start for several teams; the problem is that this causes too much argument on the forums about who should be the one getting the touches. Luckily, the team doesn't care as long as we get W's. We're going to face defenses that are more susceptible to one back as opposed to the other, so in a way it's nice that we're not locked into a Stephen Jackson or LaDanian Tomlinson who combined have less yards than Barber/Jones.

Let 'em give me 150 yards a game for 16 games this year, and I don't give a rat's patootie HOW they get it done... let 'em keep on cranking out the 4.7 YPC average, and I'll bet ya we're looking at a 10-12 win team at season's end...

Is you bias confusing you?

What Bias? What bias could I possibly have against either of our RBs?

JuJo is a golden domer and I just happend to be a ND fan.

I was hoping to draft MB3 the year before he came out (thought he was a junior).

No bias whatsoever, I'm just not consumed with an overabundance of Homerism.

Can JuJo and MB3 start for other teams in the NFL? Sure. Several teams in the NFL? Get real.

FWIW-Chicago has played STOUT Run D for 2 games-both LT and LJ had *miniscule* games.

So several is a stretch? Are you telling me out of 32 teams, neither Jujo or Barber could be starting for 2 or more teams?

They sold out vs the run vs those teams cuz they knew they really didn't have a passing game (other then throwing to the TE).

We've got the TE and WRs. Let 'em sell out vs the run if they want to.

Since when is 2 "several"?

When I think several, I'm thinking 5 or more. 2 certainly is NOT several. You could argue 3, but not 2.

I think MB3 might be able to start for several teams (the ones with a good change up back like MJD), but JuJo? I really don't think so.

I guess Moose is a blind home too considering he said that same thing, but whatever, Rack must be right. I guess I'll change, there must not be 3 teams that Jones can start for.

Their LBs(Urlacher and Briggs) can cover though.

I'd be curious to know if most of Dallas' opponents gameplan against just Jones or if they design their defensive strategies to counteract what both Jones and Barber do well.

It will be interesting to see what our OL can do against them... I'm looking forward to that...

Browns? Broncos? Giants? Panthers? Bears? Jets? Dolphins? Titans? Lions? Packers? Falcons?

Jones might not start for all of those teams, but he could for 'several' of them, and you can bet his name will come up more than once in off-season conversations in most of those clubhouses.

Browns: They have Jamal Lewis who ran for 215 yards yesterday.

Broncos: They shouldn't count cuz what RB COULDN'T produce in that system?

Giants: Brandon Jacobs > JuJo.

Panthers: DeAngelo Williams mean anything to you? You know, their first round pick last year? What about DeShaun Foster?

Bears: I think he's highly overrated but Cedric Benson > JuJo

Jets: I'll be honest, I don't even know who their starting RB is.

Dolphins: Again, Ronnie Brown is highly overrated. But he's a little better then JuJo.

Titans: You serious? He's injury prone and fumbles a bit too much, but Chris Brown >>>>>>>>> JuJo

Lions: There's 1 for sure.

Packers: I like Wynn, and Jackson is only a rookie. Don't really know with them just yet.

Falcons: Do you even watch football? Warrick Dunn, even at 75 years of age, is better then JuJo. And they also have another pretty good RB named Jerious Norwood, who I would take over JuJo in a heartbeat.

Please. Derek Anderson called. He says you don't know what you're talking about.

'Shouldn't' and 'don't' aren't the same thing.

Based on his role as a backup? Or on his work so far this year? Remember the standard is 'could start', not 'would start'.

He *does* mean something to me. About as much as Julius Jones does. Oh, there's that pesky could/would thing again. DeShaun Foster what?

Rack;1651027 said:

Cedric Benson has work to do before he can be considered in the league with Tom Benson.

Rack;1651027 said:

Well, I'm convinced.

Bah. Hmmmph.

I was probably just sucked in by his career 3.8 avg prior to this year and by the fact that he hadn't earned more than 265 carries, total, in the previous two years. They were probably saving him for that game in JAX.

Rack;1651027 said:

Yep.

We don't really know them. We can just guess that they'd be watching Julius Jones play if he were a Packer.

Oh, was watching football a criterion for posting on this board? I hadn't noticed.

Warrick Dunn has been a good player in this league--better than Jones. On this one, I was really thinking of them looking at him for next year since Dunn is, what, 32? 32 is an important age for RBs, isn't it? I'm not really sure since I don't watch football. And Jerious Norwood isn't in Barber's class, and Jones is starting ahead of Barber, for whatever that's worth.

Wow, that all you got?

You gonna try to tell me you think JuJo is better then Jamal Lewis?

If so, say goodbye to your credibility. Lewis isn't the same back he was a few years ago, but he's still better then JuJo.

'Shouldn't' and 'don't' aren't the same thing.

Ok then, two teams. YaY.

Based on his role as a backup? Or on his work so far this year? Remember the standard is 'could start', not 'would start'.

Based on my two working eyeballs, Chico.

He *does* mean something to me. About as much as Julius Jones does. Oh, there's that pesky could/would thing again. DeShaun Foster what?

So you think JuJo is as good as Deangelo Williams?

There goes your credibility, further down the toilet.

Cedric Benson has work to do before he can be considered in the league with Tom Benson.

Yet, he's still better then JuJo.

Yes, you do.

Yeah, when they come out for a breather. And they'd get a kick out of "watching" JuJo run into piles.

And Jerious Norwood isn't in Barber's class, and Jones is starting ahead of Barber, for whatever that's worth.

1. It's worth nothing, obviously, since MB3 is better then JuJo.

2. Got anything to back up your claim that Norwood isn't in Barber's class? Or you just talking out your arse like you always do?

Norwood and MB3 aren't even the same style of RB.

But there's no doubt Norwood is better then JuJo.
