Our Secondary!

Someone needs a picture of Mo and Carr with that as the caption.

:laugh2:

He got controlled tonight for sure. I'm so stoked about this secondary.

No secondary is going to play perfectly, especially in today's pass-oriented era. But our guys looked awfully good against one of the best passing offenses in the league -- and a pass offense that has owned us of late.

I didn't think Scandrick looked that good BUT he's not going to have to cover Cruz every week. I think he'll get a little better.

I agree he didn't and I also don't know if he is going to get any better. He still does not get his head around quick enough. Thank god Cruz had the dropsy's or this could have been a different outcome.

On a good note, Carr played outstanding other than that badly timed jump for the ball he took and the Mo played a very good game for it to be his first.

Eli stated in his presser that two of those sacks where coverage sacks!

Ware said it. These guys make the QB hold on to the ball just a little bit longer, giving our D-line the ability to make plays.

You could say that our secondary has risen to the occasion wearing the star. Hard to say the secondary doesn't matter.

Well said!!!!! Watching this game all I could think of was that this was the difference. The difference between in our games against them last season and tonight and the difference between our teams tonight.

Both QB are/were excellent and both OL were mediocre at best. The difference was our quality CBs.

But then I remembered CB play is meaningless.
